Star Citizen's long-awaited Squadron 42 campaign sounds like it's making great progress

I hope they have a release window ready and I hope it's good. After that showcase last year I was intrigued. Looked impressive and the genre interests me a lot. I hope it comes together, atleast seems more realistic and promising than Star Citizen.

For legal reasons it "released" in 2017. . . in Alpha.

Based on this team's history, I won't hold my breath. CI has to be one of the most perfection-driven devs I've ever seen... And yet the years roll on by and very little ever sees a final/complete release. How they maintain goodwill with their player base is beyond me. As a fan of Wing Commander, Freelancer, and Descent: Freespace, I was truly excited 10+ years ago when Star Citizen was first announced and I understood the project's scope, but now I'm just numb and couldn't care less.

To put it into a harsher reality, GSC Games is preparing to release the highly anticipated Stalker 2 - no small feat based on the history, nostalgia for the original games, scope & scale, and the fact that these people are living through a FREAKING ONGOING WAR. Yet, they managed to accomplish more than this team and under extreme duress and deadly circumstances.
