It’s been in the top-five in sales charts in the US, in the EU and in the UK.
And according to GamesIndustry.Biz’s Chris Dring, it’s done better than pretty much every other 3D platformer for the last decade. At least ones that don’t feature a plumber in blue overalls.
If you've been waiting for the right moment to pick up a PS5, you can get the digital-only version with a download code for the new Astro Bot game for just $399 at Walmart -- but hurry.
Get a PS5 Slim or PS5 Slim Digital bundled with one of the best games of 2024 for a bargain price.
The Astro Bot PS5 bundle will launch on March 13 according to noted video game industry insider billbil-kun. There will be two editions available to purchase, both of which include a digital copy of the game. The insider suggests there will be a Standard console bundle which features a disc drive and a Digital console bundle. In the U.S., these will be priced at $449.99, and $399.99 respectively.
Currently, PS5 consoles cost $499.99 and $449.99 for the disc drive and digital versions respectively. This means these bundles, which includes last year’s Game of the Year, are being sold at a $50 discount. Including the price of the game ($59.99), customers are actually saving $110.
The problem is that retailer have imported months ago so here we won't see the pricedrop. They will sit on the stock until ps6 and then discount it.
This is actually a good bundle. Sony should consider doing bundles of game of the year titles at some point.
I still play Astro Bot to this date dispite playing the game at launch. A new level came out yesterday and I plan on playing it either later today after work or tomorrow morning if I have the time. I wish other studios supported their games like this and what Team Asobi is doing is showing emmence gratitude to it's fans.
Happy to see it.
Pay attention Herman Hulst, guide Sony forward properly, less remakes / remasters, less online-only filler junk.
Focus on fun games, even if they are medium or low budget. Now let's get that Ape Escape 4!
These guys need to develop a Ape Escape reboot or something, that one level of it in Astro Bot was super fun to go through.
Hoping this shows Sony and other developers to make more platformers.
This game deserves all the sales it can get. We need more fun games with rock solid performance like Astro Bot.
Most 3D platformers are made by indie studios on small budgets. Not taking away from Astro, but definitely questioning the need of the article. You can count high profile 3D platformers that aren't Mario on one hand.
hold on a minute
ive seen this headline before, couple years ago actually haha.
