Wccftech writes: "While Starfield's first expansion fails to deliver compelling gameplay, it does, at least, deliver great visuals. Va'Ruun'kai is among the best-looking planets in the entire game, featuring a very peculiar atmosphere that briefly borders into space horror."
Review - A perfectly serviceable DLC for Starfield, Shattered Space never pushes the envelope in any way, shape or form.
ScreenRant's Garrett Ettinger writes that "Starfield: Shattered Space promised to fulfill the expectations of Starfield fans, but falls short in more than one way and fails to deliver fun."
I'm in a weird position where I'm someone who genuinely enjoys Starfield and was very excited for the release of this but the expansion, itself, disappoints me.
As someone who doesn't hate the design decisions they made with Starfield and had a lot of fun with it, I did want the expansion to be something different and feel more like point lookout or far harbor, and shattered space really underdelivered as a legitimate fan of Starfield, itself.
Starfield: Shattered Space is a compelling but messy addition to Starfield and could be recommended to Starfield fans.
