OD Is a Game "Like No Other," Espionage Game Physint in "Early Concept Stage," Says Kojima

Hideo Kojima says in-development project OD, is a game "like no other," and says the espionage game Physint, still in early concept stage.

TheProfessional236d ago (Edited 236d ago )

Expect lots of implausible nonsense and bad writing. Kojima is a victim of his own ego and success. His writing doesn't even make sense anymore; ex. "B.T.'s",
floating babies and pointless cameos from his friends.

Even the last metal gear he made had an awful story with fire demons and other absurd trash. Maybe the gameplay will be good?

Once he started doing 20 minute cutscenes in MGS4 with Otacon cooking eggs it was over. "Naaaiiiioooomiiiii"

Dam, death stranding is an amazing game!

Pedrof235d ago

I agree but I also agree the story was a massive letdown.

glenn1979236d ago

I never play Death Stranding yet, but Metal Gear series is an icon of a game series

I_am_Batman236d ago

If "it was over" with MGS4, how come you're still here complaining 16 years later?

babadivad236d ago

Damn, that was 16 years ago?

babadivad236d ago

I've always believed he was a pretentiousness guy who gets high off his own farts but people seem to love him. His games never really resonated with my.

My brother loved MGS. I played and beat the first two but hopped off after that.

I heard 3 was the best of the bunch but I moved to Splinter Cell. I liked the more "realistic" setting and gameplay in that trilogy.

mkis007235d ago

He has his own style. You either like how esoteric it is or you don't. It's a great break from the norm when playing his games.

CrimsonWing69235d ago (Edited 235d ago )

Um, if Death Stranding had only one thing going for it, it was the story. This guy delivers on some of the most uniquely imaginative stories I’ve seen in media.

And I personally love it!

Ppl always complain about not getting anything different, until they get something different. Then they still complain. 🤣

Pyrofire95235d ago

Right. They want something new but familiar. Having any expectations is really just a no-win trap.

Prayingathiest235d ago

If it's half as good as metal gear it's gonna be good pity it's so far away

Need at least a few years for a bigger game like that and that’s probably not enough.

anast1d 1h ago

They wanted something cheap.

RaidenBlack13h ago

Now you can get, what Obsidian went thru,
Had to create New Vegas within 1.5 years.
They had to scrap some ideas + there was limitations of console hardware as well (the strip area in the game, etc).
Hence, I say, we better get a New Vegas Redone than just a straight remaster, as was leaked.

Christopher13h ago

Todd ego too big for that, IMHO.

Azurite1d 5h ago

Remasters can take longer than that.

Dandizzle1d 3h ago

not true, look up star wars first assault.

ZeekQuattro23h ago

Sounds about right. They were rushed while making the second game. Not hard to imagine that trend continued with it's ill fated follow-up.

1nsomniac20h ago(Edited 20h ago)

I actually really liked the first Battlefront. Its charm was that it was so simple and basic. It felt like a really well made modernised old school shooter. Ignoring all the COD style BS that took over all other games.

I absolutely loved Battlefront 2 as well but I enjoyed Battlefront 1 for its simplicity.
