Digital Foundry: Sony Santa Monica Studio teams up once again with Jetpack Interactive to deliver one of the smoothest PC ports we've seen. Alex goes in-depth on the PC version of the PlayStation 4/5 juggernaut, revealing a highly accomplished port - with just a few edge-case problems that should be resolved in upcoming patches.

Seems like they didn't really take advantage of the PC with this port. If you want the game to look better, as I posted a few times, try out Reshade.

reshade is a joke, the games amazing on pc

They need to fix the weird audio mix during cutscenes

well... its not quite what I was expecting but still nice they honor the spartan.

What an absolute half-hearted and shoddy way for Sony to commemorate the epic God of War series. A few alternative skins and the option to buy t-shirts or vinyl. It would have been better to not have any celebration. Abysmal.

No offense Sony… but nobody is playing God of war ragnarok in 2025…

andy8586d ago

Every month in 2025 God of War Ragnarok has had more steam users than Starfield.

Inverno86d ago

Bruv I'm pretty there are more people playing literally anything BUT Starfield.

Profchaos86d ago

Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if there was more people playing bubsy 3d than starfield

Profchaos86d ago

Yeah no one at all especially when it just became available to the millions of PS plus subscribers

PanicMechanic86d ago (Edited 86d ago )

Maybe it’s because I sold my Ps5 last year and built a new PC. But ragnarok I finished in 2022 when it released. Don’t have any motivation to replay.

Profchaos86d ago (Edited 86d ago )

It would have been nice to have a PS plus drop of the ps2 original though I get that

Cacabunga86d ago

I actually installed it again today to try the latest roguelite DLC. Costumes is a nice addition but def expected something else.

Killer2020UK86d ago

Mate, I only started playing the previous one. It holds up unbelievably well considering it was a PS4 release

Chard86d ago

Not everybody buys and plays games during the launch window

BISHOP-BRASIL86d ago

I just finished it last week. You don't speak for everyone.

Damn Sony
You keep on remastering recent games and yet choose not to for a franchise that's celebrating it's 20 years?
I'm sure a lot of old and new fans would appreciate being able to play the entire saga using their current gen consoles.

Shane Kim86d ago (Edited 86d ago )

Sure but that would require to actually remaster. Not selling the same game from last gen in a new box and call it remaster.

Profchaos86d ago

I admit I got a bit swept up in thinking we would get a PS classics drop of the first game on PS plus not a remaster or anything just running under the new ps2 emulator id be.halpy with that or the PSP games that deserve more praise really

New in-game content incentives coming to PlayStation games on PC

Playstation writes: "Starting with tomorrow’s release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PC, we’re working to add more benefits to playing with an account for PlayStation Network. The Last of Us Part II Remastered (coming April 3, 2025), in addition to God of War Ragnarök and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, will all soon be adding in-game content unlocks for PlayStation Network account users.

An account for PlayStation Network will become optional for these titles on PC. Players who still opt to sign into a PlayStation Network account will also enjoy added benefits like trophies and friend management."
