With Great Source Material And Uncharted's Writer Working On It, It Has The Potential To Be The Next Big Marvel Release!
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has just formally been announced, and we get a new story trailer and tech demo alongside cast info.
IGN: "We already knew that Amy Hennig, the award-winning writer and director behind games such as Jak 3 and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, was working on a narrative-driven Marvel game focused on Captain America and Black Panther. And today, we finally learned some new details, including its official title: Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. It'll arrive sometime in 2025. Kicking off State of Unreal 2024, Skydance Media unveiled the first trailer for the game, which you can check out below."
I mean I assume everything here is in engine and there does seem to be some in game footage. It looks really good. I think this is what people were expecting from the gen in terms of visuals after the initial Unreal Engine 5 footage shown back in 2020.
You can never do too wrong with cinematics, but gameplay, on the other hand 🤔 that's what will determine the fate of this game

While the visuals look stunning, I'm curious about the gameplay. Will it feel more like Hellblade where it feels like mainly
story/cutscene driven? Or more Uncharted/TLOU with simple but solid gameplay mechanics?
I'm pretty sure we are not getting a Dark Souls type here where combat mechanics are king. Seems to be a more story driven game looking at all the focus on characters.
