Amy Henning.

You don´t need other reasons why

Gamings-Last-Legend214d ago

Exactly. She's easily one of the very best developers ever. This game is in my top 10 most anticipated titles.

While the visuals look stunning, I'm curious about the gameplay. Will it feel more like Hellblade where it feels like mainly
story/cutscene driven? Or more Uncharted/TLOU with simple but solid gameplay mechanics?

I'm pretty sure we are not getting a Dark Souls type here where combat mechanics are king. Seems to be a more story driven game looking at all the focus on characters.

IGN: "We already knew that Amy Hennig, the award-winning writer and director behind games such as Jak 3 and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, was working on a narrative-driven Marvel game focused on Captain America and Black Panther. I mean I assume everything here is in engine and there does seem to be some in game footage. It looks really good. I think this is what people were expecting from the gen in terms of visuals after the initial Unreal Engine 5 footage shown back in 2020.

This trailer really got my psyched. Great setting too, 1945. Perfect. I wonder will we be playing as both at certain times? Hope it's very very "wide linear" or "semi-open" environments. I want to sneak in with stealth using Black Panther perched in a tree at night time .

Kinda funny that Cap looks like the dude who plays US Soldier in the Marvel movies/series.

SAME!!! I needs a great Captain America game

It was rendered real time no smoke and mirrors.

characters are also metahuman based. UE5 is truly nuts.

CantThinkOfAUsername400d ago

The facial animations are really good. UE5 is a great tool in the right hands.

Truly beautiful. And I love Amy Hennig. Personally, it sucks that it is a Marvel game as I have zero interest in anything related to that universe. Too bad for e but super happy for all the people that will enjoy this.

I can guarantee the finished game will be low framerate with an ugly upscaling solution on affordable hardware

You can never do too wrong with cinematics, but gameplay, on the other hand 🤔 that's what will determine the fate of this game

It´s a game from Amy Henning, so I´m positive gameplay will be top notch!

HYPE IS REAL!

solideagle401d ago

I think She is a writer not gameplay designer

raWfodog401d ago (Edited 401d ago )

I agree with you that this is something to look forward to but sometimes 'hype' can hurt more than help. It can set expectations too high and then if a 'good' game isn't great, it can sometimes feel disappointing. I hope the gameplay reveal is nice though.

@solideagle

"I think She is a writer not gameplay designer"

She´s also a *game director*! A VERY talented and competent one.

Look it up!
