I see nooooooo difference in graphics comparison to either consoles.
For those reasons I'm out

Shikoku232d ago

There really isn't that big of difference. I got a PS4 Pro and was excited for a PS5 pro but no disc drive and 2tb with a small bump in graphics and RT is not worth the price point. If I didn't already own a PS5 then I would consider it but as I have a good PC and PS5 I just can't justify 700$ for a little better graphics.

I mean you won't. They've largely shown older games. The difference is they're at 60 fps. The difference will be on future games that would have taxed the older PS5.

Mr Wonderful on Shark Tank:

"Listen, I get it, you've improved the graphics and boosted the performance, but the PS5 is already a great machine. Is there really enough here to convince gamers to drop £699? I don't think so. The difference between the PS5 and the Pro just isn't significant enough for most people to justify that kind of spend. You're asking consumers to pay a premium for something they probably won't even notice in day-to-day use. It’s just not going to fly at that price. For those reasons, I’m out."

"Is there really enough here to convince gamers to drop £699?"

Yes as they see the value. What people don't seem to understand is. This ain't replacing it he PS5 standard. Sony are not hoping this sells 10+million each year's for the next 4 years. They are most likely expecting 10-15 million in by time PS6 releases

isarai233d ago

Ray tracing in general has not been very transformative there's been like three games where I see a cool difference. And the rest, it's so minor it's not even worth the frame rate sacrifice

Vits232d ago

RTX Remix is probably the most game-changing use of this technology so far, mainly because it's a fantastic tool for modding. And modders, who are incredibly dedicated and creative, have the potential to really push its potential to transform old games.

On the flip side, AI upscaling is a double-edged sword. It can greatly enhance image quality when used correctly. However, on PC, it’s frequently overused by developers as a quick fix, resulting in less-than-ideal native performance. Given that console users tend to be less critical and less informed about tech in general, I’m really curious to see how widely AI upscaling will be adopted and how it will impact the console experience.

isarai232d ago

To be perfectly honest, I've hated the upscaling techniques we've been using for like the past 10 years. I'm so tired of things like water and grass and other complex shaders looking like a blurry mess and leaving long ghosting trail artifacts, and image quality looking blurry and making my eyes feel out of focus. I hate it and I hope we find something else soon cuz it's getting old

even PS5 base unit is providing better graphics

Emme232d ago

I just discussed this with a friend, thing is, the devs got so good at faking reflections, that the jump to "real" raytraced reflections is not as "transformative" as tech dudes think it is. Same goes for lighting. If You go Xbox360-->PS5 You might see a big step, but PS5-->Pro ? Not so much.

In 2028 at minimum according to leakers it's estimated that the pc version is 18 months behind the console version.

Also you can bet that if the next gen consoles come in 2027 it's likely they will be given priority over the PC version just like with GTA v where the PS360 version launched first then the PS4/Xbox one and even later the PC version.

Similar thing with GTA IV PC came about 1.5 years later.

It will come to PC but don't hold your breath

I don't think there's really going to be a whole lot in it, higher resolution, maybe a bit better on detail here and there? They both have the same CPU and even if Pro runs it better I don't think either console will be more than 30-40fps with dips.

CPU will be a limiting factor, and you can bet R* will want double dippers with console to PC and also console to next gen consoles.

Pc gamers are going to lose there minds knowing this was captured on a PS5

welcome to reality

To this day, anyone that plays a GT game for the first time and doesn't have experience with this kind of game will crash at the first corner, so not really sure what Shu is claiming here. I literally saw this happen a few months ago at an event where they had GT7 with VR2 up on a stage and members of the public got to try it out.
