I mean, I'm a PC gamepass user being I don't play online games on my Xbox, so I wasn't really affected by these changes. That said, it really seems Microsoft is basically forcing people into Ultimate, or nothing at all, when it comes to console. You're missing out on a lot by avoiding that extra $5.
Is it still worth it overall? I'd say yes.
Do gamers have reason to be annoyed with these changes? Also yes.

big deal, I got 20 games with purchase of ps5, astro playroom preinstalled, and ratchet and clank FREE in covid to help out while bored at home, yes they literally gave away a game to keep kids busy in covid.
