Early Gameplay Footage From Shinobi Game & Crazy Taxi Reboot Has Leaked

Early gameplay footage from Sega's upcoming Shinobi as well as its Crazy Taxi reboot has leaked on the internet.

I agree. Shinobi looks beautifully modernized and this clip reminds me of the opening level for Shinobi III.

Crazy Taxi looks a bit too much like Burnout mixed with a Kart racer, which is a strange space to exist in. I'm hoping they dial that back.

Crazy Taxi is ok in short blasts...it was originally an arcade title back in the day. Give us Skies of Acradia Sega.

I clicked this expecting a Shinobi PS2 style game too. We haven't had a good hack n slash game in way too long so i too was a bit disappointed when I saw it was a side scroller. Hopefully it's good though!
But man, "Cant stand the 2D crap"? Dismissing a game based on whether its 2D or not is absolutely wild and immature. You're missing out on SO many gems with that attitude.

This may be an unpopular take, but from someone who is a fan of both games, unless Crazy Taxi changes some of its gameplay elements, I do not feel it will hold attention for long play sessions.

There was a time when arcade perfect ports were a gamers dream because consoles were always a step behind. When the Dreamcast released, it was the last gen where it was unique and just awesome to have an arcade experience at home. Consoles clearly outpaced the arcade experience by the time next gen consoles arrived. Consequently, Crazy Taxi is a product of its time by being really fun in short bursts and will have some nostalgic appeal.

Despite the first Shinobi being an arcade game, I feel Shinobi and good 2D side scrollers still have lasting appeal and good replay value (Ori, etc). Shinobi looks to be a modernized 2D game that will be a lot of fun. I am looking forward to it.

I really like seeing game leaks out of curiosity, and to see how development progresses - but with the way some of the comments on here and in particular Wolverine take these videos as actual game footage I totally understand why developers don't want stuff like this seen by the general public.

Popsicle i'm not sure if you're talking about the leaked video in particular or just Crazy Taxi gameplay in general when you say it wont hold the attention of people for long play sessions, but if it's the video, I really recommend *not* looking at leaks as a demo of what the game will play like. This video is from 2021.

Considering that, i'm absolutely blown away at what they've accomplished so far. Fingers crossed that this will be something special. Glad we're finally getting good arcadey games again in any case

Talking about OG Crazy Taxi. I own it on the Dreamcast and had a ton of fun with it back in the day, but believe gameplay will need to evolve in a remake to incentivize replay ability. Otherwise the game will only serve as a pleasant nostalgia act imho. I believe Shinobi has the potential to be the better game and more than a nostalgia play.

Extremely dated game design on both. Once the nostalgia wears off after 15 minutes they will both be crap.

Both games look good so far, I like the thick black lines in Shinobi's art style. Unsure if I'll buy Crazy Taxi, especially if it has live service elements, but I'm still looking forward to their releases!

Crazy Taxi looks oddly not bad, definitely can see the lineage to the original but still have absolutely zero desire to play any multiplayer game this included. Also, if this is from 2021 and it’s not due out until 2027, how can anyone justify 7 plus year development cycles for a game like that
