You can now play Star Wars Outlaws in VR, all thanks to this PC mod

Luke Ross, a popular game modder, has released a Star Wars Outlaws mod which makes the game playable in VR on PC. Here's how to get it.

Great. It will feel like a first row seat to a sh*t show

During a mission, I rolled away from getting shot and got stuck in a rock. Can't wait to experience that in VR.

Idk why you would want to play a game designed around third person in VR.. while still using non-vr controllers.

I would rather play most games in VR if possible— UEVR, VorpX, and Luke Ross mods have shown that you can find way better immersion in VR games even with a normal controller. In fact, I prefer a normal controller as it’s easier to know the layout for which button your pressing and I don’t have to worry about charging them. The view of the character, whether 1st or 3rd person is still controlled by the head movement. Also, with most of the mods you can make a 3rd person game 1st person, or at least get a lot closer. Why sit and watch a tv when I can be IN the game world?

Now to be fair, I still don’t want to play Outlaws in VR, because it’s gotta be a good game in flat screen first.

Stuff that should have been in the base game. Probably would have had better sales, too.

YourMommySpoils14d ago

Don't think even that would have helped this borefest of the least Star Wars experience in history of gaming.

coolbeans14d ago

Nah. The Outlaws base game isn't starved of content. Its more the lacking quality-of-life features at launch and a design template that's fundamentally confused.

The first thing we see Hondo Ohnaka in for a while since Rebels / The Clone Wars and it's for this...

He's such a great character, I thought he'd have been included in something better. Hopefully we see him in Ahsoka Season 2 or the Mandalorian and Grogu film.
