Its true... I can see the 5 Pro with the 3 lines on its side among the other system / accessory images. Oddly enough though, there is not one reference to the PS2 in that 30th anniversary picture. I zoomed in to find a PS One (not the PS1), PS3 (og fat), PS3 (super slim), PS4 (og fat), PS4 (Pro), PS5 (slim), PSP, PSP Go, PS Vita, PS Portal and the various cameras and controllers.

I did not see the PS2 though. That one is odd.... especially since it was their best selling platform. I can understand not having the PS1 or PS3 (slim) or PS4 (slim) or even the PS5 (og fat).... but no PS2 in fat or slim????

Strange ... but there might be a bigger version of that background art coz, the triangle and Square are incomplete. Maybe the missing consoles are hidden there?
Don't know how they made the image.
If it was custom, then PS2 should've been at the center.
But if it was randomly generated using the icons then the arrangement might just be ... random and the PS2 icons were treated with bad luck.
edit : spotted PS5 fat in another arrangement in the PS' IG story.
PS is literally teasing it there kinda

I'd wager you are correct. Odd their official blog post uses a truncated image where the other images in their post you can click on to get larger.

Where did you see a different arrangement? Id love to see a full image that i could use as a background.

RaidenBlack279d ago

Yep its randomly generated.
Here's with the PS2:

Thank you for participating in the treasure hunt.

What if the PS5 pro is a straight throwback PS2 design, didn't they release a PS1 themed PS4?

RaidenBlack279d ago

If you count the strakes as throwback

Very clever of Sony to hide it in there, right in the center, clearly not a coincidence. The rumors of it being announced soon seems very likely.
I recognize just about every item in the background, except the mustache looking product.

darthv72279d ago

that is the PSVR2 controller cradle for charging.

Chocoburger279d ago

Ah! I don't own the PSVR 2 yet, so I never paid attention to any of its accessories. I'm still using PSVR 1, but I actually enjoy it a lot, even though the tech is out-dated.

Hmm is that an oversight. Certainly looks like the design that was leaked. Surely they wouldn't do that on purpose before a reveal. Or would they 😂

Psychonaut85279d ago

Would be cool if the stripes lit up as the different colors of the face buttons.

darthv72279d ago

with some LED strips... yours can too.

They look good I would consider a PS5 Pro

Resident Evil Requiem Screenshots and Info Leak

Resident Evil Requiem, otherwise known as Resident Evil 9 screenshots have leaked, alongside mentioning a second playable character.

What I don’t get is why game demos at preview events are still locked behind press and influencers. That made sense back in the pre-internet days when magazines were the main way to get news to gamers—but now? Not so much.

Even if developers are worried about early criticism, they could just make the demo available only during the event window and use the feedback to improve the final release.

At this point, it just feels outdated to have all these playable demos hidden away, while the rest of us sit around watching someone else describe their experience. I always hoped these events would evolve to be more inclusive—let everyone get a taste of the game, even if they can’t attend in person.
