Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Review - IGN

I was halfway through the opening level of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s campaign, unloading bolt rifle rounds alongside my two squadmates, when I found myself smiling at just how good it feels to be back in this futuristic grimdark fray. It’s been over a decade since the original, but Space Marine 2 reinvigorates the squad-based shooter series with seeming ease. The environments are varied and breathtaking, the running-and-gunning feels great, and the sense of comradeship while fighting with your team, be they bots or friends, can be exhilarating. It may not break much new ground in its genre, but it didn’t need to for me to have a blast playing through its dozen-hour campaign.

I’ve played a couple on PS4. Decent games but they had serious performance issues. This one seems to be better but way too short for 70$. I will get it during Black Friday

Although not a fully fledged 40,000 game, I recently played Hired Gun Necromunda and found it to be a great game. The scale of the environments made you feel like an ant in comparison and really enjoyed it. Give it a go as the scale will feel pretty similar by the looks of it & it's pretty cheap to pickup a 2nd hand copy of it.
Looking forward to grabbing a copy of SM2 day one myself.

Play the original Space Marine first since this is a direct sequel. It's on Steam as well.

I heard it’s a really short game. I’m still wanting to check it out, but maybe on a sale

I'm seeing 10+ hours for the campaign, on most accounts. That's not bad for the sort of game it is. Then add in the PvE and PvP and there's a pretty lengthy experience here, it seems.

6 hours and 53 minutes.

I’ll still check it out, but not at $70

i don't know why but Warhammer games never appealed to me.

Same here but Space Marine and Boltgun are different.

Nothing in the review points out the negatives. Another 'We give it an 8 because it's not from a paying publisher.'
