lol PS5 and series X can run wukong above 30 FPS in performance mode. Can Series S do that? Saying ps5 runs worse than 25 FPS is a straight lie. Change your settings and your inbetween 30-60. Graphics may not be that sharp but atleast it’s running.

Series S is holding back series X and that’s fact. MS held back this gen and the series X with. Series S.
That’s why they want to put out a new console so fast. To phase out the series S and continue with series X and the new console.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprise if that’s part of there plan. Eventually after the new Xbox, they will make a slightly stronger one and phase out Series X and repeat.

The PS5 and pro is meant for this gen.
SERIES X is the main console. Series S is just a downgraded version holding it back.
IPS5 is the main console. PRo is just an upgraded version of it.
Just like PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
Didn’t hold nothing back but a better version to run games better.

Why even make series X to be so powerful but have the series S Holding it down? Just saying. I know you love your precious Xbox brand and so do I but atleast I admit MS made a mistake making the series S.

@lelo2play no evidence that PS5 will hold the Pro back. It didn't happen with the PS4 Pro. Difference is games are developed for the X and having to be downgraded for the S and that's where issues arise. Games will be developed for the PS5 and then optimised for the Pro. Literally the opposite of the XB situation

Just let it go man. Series s should have been series x without the disk drive. And PS5 to PRO still means both consoles are way more powerful than series s. A base PS5 is still a really good machine like series X. But S has held back this generation and you need to stop defending it. We never seen so many developers come out and say negative stuff about series S. We have publishers skipping the Xbox console completely because they don’t want to deal with series s headaches

Absolutely not a fact. *Some* devs complain because they have to do some optimisation. It's a fact it's less powerful, but there's no evidence Series S has negatively impacted any game you want to play on more powerful hardware. it's a great well rounded and perfectly capable device. I would even argue that it's benefited this gen by forcing Devs to account for hardware that mirrors a fairly average PC (8GB of VRAM, actually exceeds the average PC in terms of SSD, CPU threads and clock speeds, at least according to steam) and these optimisations ultimately benefit PC players too.

It's not the Series S, console hardware in general is lacking behind software advancements. It's just easy to use the Series S as a punching bag, and an excuse for "games being held back". I think this generation of hardware is better suited for last generation Unreal Engine 4, and if devs wouldn't be abandoning their proprietary engines they'd probably be having less of an issue too.

Yes, they did. At the moment, the SS is the very reason why a few games are been released on Xbox consoles on a later date.

But to say that it is holding the Series X back is a lie.

While the SS is struggling to run this game at 25fps atm, while the SX is already running it at solid 60fps and its version will feature both quality and performance, mode.

The developer said that the SS will get a lower resolution and less UE5 feature rich port from the SX´s quality mode.

So you heard from the horse´s mouth that the hardware structure for development of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is Top/Down and NOT Botton/Up. Which makes it pretty much impossible for the SS to hold their game back since the SX is the *lead platform*.
