Sources “my source told me”

Untill we have multiple sources all saying same m, this is a ,”Trust me bro’’ situation

CobraKai279d ago

We need a website that compiles all news articles from “Trust me bro” into one…. Oh wait.

Obscure_Observer279d ago

"Untill we have multiple sources all saying same m, this is a ,”Trust me bro’’ situation"

The game runs at 30fps on PS5, hits 60fps via FSR which turns image quality into a sub 720p blurry mess in return and here you are expecting some kind of miracle. smh.

Kaii280d ago

How about when you're In New game+ the plants 100% drop the seeds, cause holy hell that trophy sucks ass.
Also fixing infinite mana I wanted my 2nd playthrough to flash step to C5 for bull materials and dip -_-

Psychonaut85279d ago

At the moment I’d settle for them just locking the quality and balanced at 30 and 40 respectively. Uncapped 30 on quality and a 45 fps target for balanced makes no sense.

--Onilink--279d ago

Ok person that knows how a TV works*

There, I fixed it for you.

Black Myth: Wukong is coming to Xbox exactly one year after launching on PlayStation

One of the biggest coincidences of all time happens as Black Myth is finally coming to Xbox on August 20, 2025.

The coincidence was an exclusivity deal this whole time

RaidenBlack1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

Now my curiosity is ... can the final Witcher 4 build look better than Wukong, both running on a high end PC.
Obvious answer for now would be a solid 'yes' but by how much?
Wukong looks pretty jaw dropping on PC already but it too faced a slight visual downgrade compared to the initial reveal (remember the devs had to make a follow up video showing that its an actual early build of a game played real time and not a fake rendered gameplay video coz it looked that good).

darthv721h ago(Edited 1h ago)

Sony has to pay for these timed exclusives this gen because they quite literally have nothing new from their stable of 1st party devs. Even a game like Astrobot was initially not meant to be the big hit, it became that way because the fans were hungry for anything new. It's also why MS games on PS5 are doing so well... hungry fans want anything that isn't a rehash of something from just one gen ago.

Sony has really sucked hard this gen. And I'm saying "Sony"... not PS5. They had to resort to their old scummy ways because their leadership has done even worse than the XB Matrick era.

Eonjay50m ago

The biggest problem in gaming is acting like Sony have commited some great evil by having some timed exclusives when all platforms have had them this gen. When the Warhammer remake was announced for Xbox I got crickets from you. If you don't have a problem with anyone else doing it, no one is going to take you serious if you get yourself worked up when Sony does it. You are being fake. You either don't like the practice or you don't care. If you only dislike it when Sony does it, you aren't being real.

Lightning779h ago

Coincendence indeed August 20th exactly 1 year after release. Not a random staggered month but 1 year exactly. That's still suspicious.

Eonjay1h ago

I know this narrative is trying to be forced on us but I still don't buy it because I don't understand why Sony wouldn't announce the exclusivity. Neither Sony or Microsoft are shy about annoncing timed exclusive deals. Why would this be different?

lelo2play8h ago(Edited 8h ago)

This proves Black Myth Wukong had an exclusivity deal. The developers lied... Sony lied... and Sony fanboys gobbled it all up without question.
Now, let's see if the fanboys that made up excuses a year ago, are men enough to apologise for being d**k's...

Lightning778h ago

They're gonna run in hide and pretend like nothing ever happened. I apologized for no reason. GS played me. Never again will no be played or manipulated by game devs again...

RauLeCreuset18m ago(Edited 5m ago)

""I apologized for no reason. GS played me. Never again will no be played or manipulated by game devs again..."

Sure. Says the person who has flip-flopped multiple times between asserting that there was or wasn't a deal.

I told you early on to let things play out. Your problem isn't devs manipulating you. Your problem is your insistence on rushing online to post like you know what you're talking about while being belligerent to people who disagree.

You still don't know. This is the latest thing to have you guessing. Your current position is that releasing exactly a year later is evidence that the devs lied. It's possible that the devs would go so far as to lie to hide the deal only to invite suspicion by releasing on Xbox exactly a year later. It's also possible they fixed the issues with Series S and chose that date because it's the anniversary of the original release. You're still guessing.

Edit: In support of my last point, go to the BMW Wiki page, do a search for "August 20," and see how many times they have used that date for BMW moments.

PS fanboys never had a spine anyway, it's nothing new. They hit the down arrow then run to the next Xbox article

1Victor54m ago(Edited 50m ago)

@taco: “PS fanboys never had a spine anyway, it's nothing new. They hit the down arrow then run to the next Xbox article”
Why waste time responding to someone with their hand covering their ears and their head in the corporation sewer pipe drainage?
Now watch all the disagree without comments pop up on this comment.
Edit
Oops forgot the article
Whatever the case might be be it’s been released on Xbox and if it was a time exclusive what benefits would the developer gain from denying it and putting the other console down.

Bathyj1h ago

So what if they did?
You think you're deserved an explanation?

Lightning778h ago(Edited 8h ago)

Before you fanboys start because I know y'all will.

https://n4g.com/news/266012...

"Content Ventures team led by Christian Svensson. There’s nobody better in the world than Christian and Shawne Benson at finding hidden gems and nurturing up-and-coming companies that are probably off the radar for most of us. They get tons of support from the third-party account management team and the partner development team, who are often the very first points of contact.

[This team worked with] Annapurna Games very early on games like Stray. The same approach also led our support of Genshin Impact, Black Myth: Wukong and Stellar Blade for example."

So do these deals include taking games off previously announced multiplat titles like WK? SB was multiplat until Sony took over publishing. Noticed how the other "gems" were timed also. Not a coincidence in the least bit.

I know y'all gonna try and fight and defend hard but I Dare anyone. Y'all better bring your your best logic.

Matter of fact let me get start it off because I already know.

"where is the deal!"

It's clearly a cover up using the S as a crutch but GS couldn't say there was a deal. The guy openly said he seeks out "gems" for PS. These gems were all timed or taken off Xbox. Again, Which clearly includes previously announced games that were announced on Xbox. It's not hard to see.

gold_drake4h ago

i wonder if they took the exclusivity deal to work on the xbox s version

i remember vaguely that t they had some issues with it.

but u know. bo one has to disclose anything to anyone.
we all knew it was a exclusivity deal.

Neonridr2h ago(Edited 2h ago)

the devs flat out said the game wouldn't work on the S with it's 10GB of RAM and that's why the game hadn't released yet. But guess what, it's coming out on the S.

Neonridr2h ago

lol, I can't wait to hear the defense force spin this. Totally could be a coincidence that the game will release exactly 1 year after it launched on the PS5, right?

We were told that getting this game to work on the Series S with only 10 GB of RAM was impossible.. so what changed suddenly?

The jokes just right themselves here.

The Physical Release Of Black Myth: Wukong Performed So Well It Saved Businesses, Says Publisher

As more and more games go digital-only, Black Myth: Wukong's physical publisher says it performed so well that it saved some businesses.

Good to see physical still doing well!

dantesparda31d ago

So fix the performance on PS5/Pro. With up all that ghosting and dithering, improve the performance!

FPSRUSSIA32d ago

it would of sold even more Physical if it released day one but still Great News.

Yi-Long32d ago

The industry wants to push the narrative that physical is on its way out and gamers prefer digital. Fact is that many gamers simply have less and less options to buy physical, so they’re stuck with either digital, or nothing.

Many gamers still prefer physical, especially for SP games. Games without ‘always online’ or other kinds of anti-consumer DRM.

I hope they’ll release a complete edition (physical) for Wukong once the announced DLC comes out.

OptimusDK32d ago

I totally get it, but dont know if i really matters as most games now do not hold the actual game, or at least a very early version without day one patches.

They are often just a licence to download the actual game. Unfortunately it is not like in the old days, if you just had the game you can play the game no matter what.

Nyxus32d ago

That goes for some games but there are still plenty for which this isn't the case: https://www.doesitplay.org/

jznrpg32d ago

Most games are on disc.

gold_drake32d ago

yeh i hate it too, if they'd give us actual numbers on how much it costs to print themz id be more inclined to beliebe it, but otherwise, nah no way.

kayoss31d ago

I try to buy physical PS5 games when possible. Physical add an extra cost to the developers. However, the fact that digital cost the same as a physical version of the game makes no sense to me. The only games i will buy digital are Nintendo Switch games, those cartridges are small and i lost/misplaced a few already.

senorfartcushion32d ago

Every game that sells well "saves businesses" nowadays - based on how many studios suffer layoffs due to a game not skyrocketing to success, that is.

Popsicle31d ago (Edited 31d ago )

I waited for the physical release to purchase this. If it didn’t get a physical release I had already made up my mind that I was fine skipping it.

I know I am fighting a losing battle because an all digital future is inevitable, but I only purchase physical and will continue doing so.

kayoss31d ago

You will be surprised. Games are getting bigger in size and we all know that console dont provide you with that much hard drive space. I know you can just delete the game from your harddrive to save space and re-install whenever, but me having a physical insure that i can install anytime i want, even if they they take the game off their digital stores.

ravens5231d ago (Edited 31d ago )

Exactly. I do the same. Only digital games I have are from ps+, and I don't consider those owned. As soon as I don't renew, those games are inaccessible.

danno_omen68d ago

We don’t control who suddenly decides to bring it up in interviews lol

lukasmain68d ago

It's pure speculation on behalf of the author of this opinion piece and it hold no weight at all.

InUrFoxHole68d ago

@lukasmain
Im curious how you can make that comment when he specifically mentions Blackmyth? No weight at all? Either...
A. You can't read
B. You're letting blind loyalty take point
C. You just didn't read it
D. You're trolling

pwnmaster300068d ago

There really wasn’t no suggestion.
Just pure speculation as usual.

Lightning7767d ago

It's in the interview. He said it.

lukasmain67d ago

He never suggested a special exclusivity deal. Far from it. The author is just speculating.

Lightning7767d ago (Edited 67d ago )

@Main I quoted Rosenberg at the bottom he said it himself on the interview that him and guys go out and find hidden gems. This interview wouldn't mean much but Black Myth was supposed to release simultaneously along with the Xbox version unfortunately, it didn't. Got taken off and GS said it was the S. MS said there was a deal in place. If he's going out and finding niche or "hidden gems" BMW should of released only on PS5 since its considered a hidden gem that could only be played on PS console just like the rest of the other games he mentioned. The game was announced awhile ago as a multiplat. The S of late has been holding its own with third party and 1st party games. It's also clear that the S did have issues for awhile also and maybe GS really can't optimize for the console. I'm just exploring every possibility.

Hmm, I dunno at the end of the day. The S has been performing well optimization wise lately. I dunno it's hard to tell anymore what's, what.

-Foxtrot68d ago (Edited 68d ago )

There is no way in high hell Sony would pay money for this, something so successful and not advertise it as an exclusive console game. There's just no way, they've done it for everything else, why would they not do it for this.

It's people who can't let a story go, there's no deal, they just probably supported a new Chinese studio with their China Hero Project and give them tools to help develop on their console. If Microsoft came along and offered them the same tools early on for their console I'm sure Sony wouldn't bat an eyelid.

Sony took a chance on a new studio early on and they benefitted from it, that's their reward.
