Circuit City Liquidation Sale go now

Sadly Circuit City is going out of business, there will be a lose of over 30,000 jobs. 597 stores. However there is a good side to all of that. Crazy good liquidation sales!

According to MattG of The Gaming Planet "I only spent $479.97 and I had a $25 giftcard there so 454.97 BEFORE taxes. I figure that if I was to purchase all of the following at retail price (before taxes) it would be $589.92. So that is $110 savings!"

I believe CC marks some stuff up before the mark it down. Therefore giving you (the consumer) the impression that you are indeed getting a deal when you in reality are NOT.

It's not Circuit City but the liquidators they hire to close the stores. They're known for marking things up and "discounting" them to what they should be to sell them. Even if something is marked a little lower than retail shop around. It's most likely going to be cheaper elsewhere.

it's best to wait. Chances are you won't be getting a good deal for a week or two when they slash prices again. People get to carried away at first with the word sale and end up paying a price that really isn't that great...

They (at least my store) have only a 10% blanket sale on the store which still puts MOST prices above prices you can find for anywhere on the internet.

And they didn't have much on sale at all although the herd mentality of folks made it seem so. For example, on the "Clearance" rack of PS3 titles, they had crap games you can get elsewhere for $10-20 for around the same price and Rainbow Six Vegas 1 which was labeled as a Platinum Title for $40. Plat titles are supposed to be $30, no? Wait a few days, maybe a couple of weeks THEN stuff will really be on sale.

i work for circuit city....umm i mean i guess a liquidator or something.lol. ur warranty is covered under the company Assurant, which is covered by GE. CC has always been covered by 3rd parties. if you check their website it gives u all the info u need. good luck

i saw an add in the paper for dvds for 4.99 went to the store they had none of the ones for 4.99 only some for 9.99 was like wtf left and never went back if your gonnna advertise something in the paper you think the least you would do is have what you advertise in the store not. they just do that to get you in the store and then hope you just buy something good riddance

CC had sale on dvds like 5 weeks in a row. I remeber the week before those dvd were 2.99 then the next were listed at 4.99. They put them on sale that cheap to get rid of them. And Its not only CC where this happens best buy had the same sale that week and didnt have anything, also think wal-mart had some fro 3.99 and was very limited
