Circuit City Liquidation Sale go now

Sadly Circuit City is going out of business, there will be a lose of over 30,000 jobs. 597 stores. However there is a good side to all of that. Crazy good liquidation sales!

According to MattG of The Gaming Planet "I only spent $479.97 and I had a $25 giftcard there so 454.97 BEFORE taxes. I figure that if I was to purchase all of the following at retail price (before taxes) it would be $589.92. So that is $110 savings!"

I can't wait to hook up and play these new games!

I believe CC marks some stuff up before the mark it down. Therefore giving you (the consumer) the impression that you are indeed getting a deal when you in reality are NOT.

Tsalagi5629d ago

It's not Circuit City but the liquidators they hire to close the stores. They're known for marking things up and "discounting" them to what they should be to sell them. Even if something is marked a little lower than retail shop around. It's most likely going to be cheaper elsewhere.

Ramtough5629d ago

You're right it is the liquidators I made the mistake in my earlier post.

Proxy5629d ago

Then I got a job in retail. I have never witnessed this happening.

Can anyone confirm or deny this? Or do we only have these empty accusations?

Every time a sale says "Was 59.99" it's telling the truth from my personal experience.

Mozilla895629d ago

and all my CC had was 10% off on games. I was looking to pick up some $30 games but if I'm only getting $3 off then no thanks.

acedoh5629d ago

it's best to wait. Chances are you won't be getting a good deal for a week or two when they slash prices again. People get to carried away at first with the word sale and end up paying a price that really isn't that great...

MrTeenie5629d ago

bomboclaat_gamer5629d ago

circuit city wont be the first and definately wont be the last. by end of february, USA wont be the land of opportunity anymore

rbanke5629d ago

CC was heading to this with or without bad economic times.

Legionaire20055629d ago

Old Navy might be next, because I heard rumors of the store closing sometime this year. Office Depot(a competitor to Staples) which is also closing has liquidation sale too.

Kleptic5629d ago

off topic...but you guys seriously have to buy a wireless controller for $50...then another $20 just for a fecking rechargeable battery pack?...;awlsdjf;laksjflkwtf?

Mc1875629d ago

I think your right 70 bucks for a controller is a scary thought.

jack who5629d ago

MrNegativity5629d ago

Mc1875629d ago

Sarcasm5629d ago

Looks like you are looking to start a players vs sales debate.

14 million installs out of how many GamePass subscribers?
Starfield was supposed to be THE game of the generation, and providing it for free to over 25 million users should imo have a higher install base.

I like Starfield, even bought the game, but it's sadly nowhere near a game of the generation, not even one of the best games last year.

Hope it will make the same turn around as Cyberpunk, FFXIV and No Man Sky 👍

The way people keep turning their attention to it says otherwise. People rely too much on statistics. It doesnt matter if people stopped playing it. People stop playing games

Guess the game might be good in 2 years.
