Volgarr the Viking 2 is a worthy, brutally difficult, and endlessly addicting follow-up to its tough-as-nails predecessor from 2013.
Review - Despite the almost imperceptible attempts to make Volgarr the Viking II a bit easier to live with, the game remains as hard as nails.
Volgarr the Viking II leans heavily into some of the more brutal designs of the SEGA Genesis era, but that makes it even more enjoyable -- if you're willing to live with a strange invincibility choice.
"The Emeryville-bawsed (CA, the US) indie games publisher Digital Eclipse and Kirkland-based (WA, the US) indie games developer Crazy Viking Studios, are today very happy and proud to announce that their hardcore 2D action platformer "Volgarr the Viking II" (the highly anticipated sequel to the indie hit from Crazy Viking Studios), is now available for PC (via Steam) and consoles (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Swsitch) via digital stores." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
