The term “Soulslike” has become ridiculously diluted. I have seen it used for games just because they are difficult.
Nioh 1+2 imo are the best souls clone. Love the melee combat and ki system, really hoping team ninja doesn't abandon the IP and continue with a new title, hell just give us your take on the western fantasy setting for a new nioh game.

I’ll go back at some point. It’s a really fun game. I’ve only played solo but it would be fun to play with a buddy or even a random person I should try it sometime
