Is Princess Waltz as good as Fate/Stay Night? It really depends on what you're looking for. Fate is definitely a deeper franchise, and a deeper overall game, and fans that look can absolutely see that Peach Princess "borrowed" a lot of different elements of the Fate/Stay Night, from the length of the game (about two weeks each) to the main characters (Arata and Emiya are near carbon copies on the surface) to the main female fighters (Iris is a Saber clone), and some that Diehard GameFAN could be forgetting.

Gamertell Review: Princess Waltz for PC

Gamertell offers a mostly favorable review of the hentai game, Princess Waltz.

From the review:

"Princess Waltz is a very text-intensive visual novel with a dash of eroticism. Most of the text is thankfully accompanied by Japanese voice-overs except for dialogue that originates from the omniscient narrator and Arata himself. Most of the battles that don't involve you require you actually use your noggin to visualize the frantic pace with the assistance 6th grade level vocabulary descriptions...

The story is charming, the characters are glistening, the card battles are fun but, unfortunately, all of its strong points are marred by the fact that this game progresses at the pace of a stepped on grandpa snail."

Not only was it deemed a AAA visual novel title as a result of being one of the most popular games released in Japan in 2006, but it drew comparisons with one of the greatest visual novels of all time, Type-Moon's epic Fate/Stay Night. Did it live up to these lofty expectations? Well, it depends on what you're looking for."
