CG writes: We have invested quite a number of hours into the free-to-play (F2P) browser, Steam, Android based game Lust Goddess also known as Lyssa Goddess of RAGE (which is a less adult version of the same game). Apparently 3 years in the making and offering turn-based card battling, all wrapped-up in dodgy AI created art, we ask whether it's worth the time investment. Key word here being F2P. Our aim with these types of game is to see how long we can progress before the dreaded pay-to-win mechanics kick-in. Yes, you can spend a staggering £499.99 for just one item or nothing at all but will spend an eternity grinding to hell and back (smells like a money laundering scheme to us). Steam says there are over 100K players with double or more on browser, so that's a pretty decent following.
CG writes: Well, we just caught on camera, our extremely long-winded breakthrough moment into Lust Goddess Leagues league 14 which was no easy task if you plan on playing for free. It’s taken a while but worth it if you really aim to take advantage of its Free-to-Play system. The game (and most of its ilk), are designed so you spend copious amounts of cash to progress quicker. But, playing smart, levelling-up the characters and just generally being persistent nets you the rewards you are looking for.
The concept of this kind of game having "leagues" is more amusing to me than it probably should be.
CG writes: Lust Goddess is a free-to-play mobile/browser card based strategy game with some adult-themes. You can grab it from Nutaku.net. It’s a fun time-sink that you can play without having to spend any money. That said, progress can feel quite slow but is rewarding. Take a look at the video for the full lowdown. Also as mentioned in the video, I have reached League 15 as shown in the screenshot.
Cheaply made AI art + free-to-play design with egregious micro-trash-actions? NO!!! ITS OBVIOUSLY NOT WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY!
Its got better character design than Concord.
