Shame the Xbox doesn’t have games that’s only for Xbox only (and pc). This list is full of multi games.

Same can be said about PS5, but I think PS5 can get close. Not all bangers tho
Both consoles lack compare to previous gen.

The PS3/360 era was peak man.

I don't know the ps360 era to me wasn't as big as everyone now makes it out to be personally I feel that generation was one of the weaker ones.

We had killer games but performance was woeful with so many games running at 25 fps most reieases performed horribly I actually got back into PC gaming because of crysis 2

Variety was starting to nosedive with the generation really marking the end of experiments and building a culture of sequels some interesting games came out but nothing like the ps2 and earlier.

Developers pushed the PS360 so hard without asking should we theres was some killer games GTA IV/v rdr uncharted tlou infamous Halo 3 the list goes on but the later half Of that generation was a punish unless you were cod or a small indie your game was going to tank on hardware that lasted about 3 years past it's due date

Yeah but back then we were all use to 30fps or lower, console players wise. The first time I got really into fps and performance was the ps4/x1 era.

I’m talking about games with creativity bro.
Fun games.
Halo was still good.
Had gears.
Fable series.
Uncharted.
God of war
Last of us etc.
Mass effect trilogy
Gaming imo had more passion back then.

Killzone
Uncharted
God of war
Mag
Socom
Cod(when it became the beast that it is)
Destiny
Gears of war
The last great halo
Motorstorm
Forza
Resistance
The last of us
Heavenly sword
Infamous
Red dead redemption
The Batman games
Heavy rain
Dark souls
Borderlands
Dead space
Bayonetta
Assassins creed
Little big planet
Etc etc etc

The diversity and the new ips or exemption of existing ips blows this gen out of the water.
Especially if you were on the ps3.

What ruined the gen was Microsoft washing out through their media attacks and exclusive contracts.
They hardly ever make games and the consumers at the time were more concerned with marketing than reality.

The decline began on the ps4/Xbox one and this gen is more of what was bad the previous gen.

The PS360 gen brought us some great indies too like:
Castle crashers
Spelunky
Fat Princess
3d dot heroes
Rogue Legacy
Terraria
Plants vs Zombies
Dungeon Defenders

The creativity and passion were on another level back then.

We still have some good indie games now but mostly everything is derivative.
