I rarely see soulslikes doing these type of numbers, there's folks that don't even play fromsoftwares games but they know about darksouls, elden ring etc. I don't like the combat in the games but I still like to see a dev doing good on their work keeping it original and not copying shhi, I ask someone about a certain soulslike they'll be like WHATS THAT?? 🤣🤣 other devs ought to see create ya own lane and your titles will stand out too but nope mfs still want to copy souls games

From the wonderful reorchestrations of Persona 3 Reload and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, to the entirely new original scores of Astro Bot, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the top contenders of the year are unlikely to be much of a surprise to anyone, though as always some excellent scores missed the top five, and only one can take home the top prize."

Best Art Direction of 2024

VGChartz's Taneli Palola: "These days it takes something quite special to stand out from the crowd when it comes to the look and visual style of your game. Having the prettiest graphics is nice, but just having beautiful imagery simply isn't enough to make people take notice anymore. What matters is how, when, and why a game uses its visual features to draw out a specific reaction from the audience and create a tone & atmosphere that shows the player something truly unique. The following five 2024 titles used these assets to their fullest potential."
