For me; this is a rare instance where the slight changes the remake team made to the original design makes sense and in fact improves the original design more.

I like the Konami's new take. She's a soldier and a mother.

Why the hell are we so heatedly judging digital female models this much? I mean, come on, people, it's video games; it's not real. What a stupid thing to be outraged about.

It's becoming embarrassing and plays into the stigma that some people have about gamers, that they hate women, are fat, live in their momma's basement, and order Mountain Dew and pizza every day.

The game looks great, and the design and graphics look fantastic.

I think they’ve done a good job. All the models have lost the stylised look of the PS2 game, which was cool but would look bizarre in a more detailed environment with decent facial animation. The model looks appropriate for the back story and age, you can see they considered that in the redesign. The jawline is large on both if that is the complaint.
