From Software's expansion for Elden Ring offers an entire new game's worth of content, all of which is exceptionally executed.

This year, your fearless Surviving Editor (I’m not quite dead yet!) and other members of the Co-op Crew each selected a personal co-op game of the year. On top of that, we all picked a "Beyond Co-op" game of the year as well. That’s twice the GOTY picks for the same low price (free)!" says Co-Optimus.
VGChartz's Taneli Palola: "The nominees for Best Original Music Score of 2024 were once again a mix of entirely new soundtracks and updated rearrangements of old favourites. From the wonderful reorchestrations of Persona 3 Reload and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, to the entirely new original scores of Astro Bot, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the top contenders of the year are unlikely to be much of a surprise to anyone, though as always some excellent scores missed the top five, and only one can take home the top prize."

Having the prettiest graphics is nice, but just having beautiful imagery simply isn't enough to make people take notice anymore. What matters is how, when, and why a game uses its visual features to draw out a specific reaction from the audience and create a tone & atmosphere that shows the player something truly unique. The following five 2024 titles used these assets to their fullest potential."
