Will we head to the printing press in Magazine Mogul, or take a trip to the races in Pocket Stables? Or… why not both?!
TouchArcade: Kairosoft makes a lot of games. Rather, I suppose they made a lot of games and have been diligently porting them over to smartphones ever since. They're not bad games. If you happened to be trapped in an elevator for a couple of days with one, you might not even notice you didn't hit your floor. That said, they are extremely similar to one another, relying on the same few templates spread across every single job anyone ever had or will have. It wears on you after a few games, especially if you fall into a row of their building simulations.
Hardcore Droid: "Probably the most in-depth game ever made about local interest magazines, Magazine Mogul is the latest simulation game from Japanese developers Kairosoft. Over the course of 20 years, you and your magazine staff work to expand your town magazine, which has a dramatic effect on the town itself. In addition to measuring your success by your profits, you’re tasked with earning the Grand Prize at the Town Magazine Awards. It’s a hilarious game with a lot of depth and strategy, but be ready to micromanage as you try and keep your magazine in the black."
Back in December two new Japanese Kairosoft games mysteriously appeared in the Play Store. It may have taken a while, but an English version of one of them has finally showed up on Google Play as Magazine Mogul.
