'Unicorn Overlord' is packed with thrilling strategic challenges that reward clever thinking. Here's why it could be a future strategy classic.
Vanillaware's tactical role-playing game Unicorn Overlord is a beautiful mix of old mechanics and new-age graphics, with over 65 unique recruitable characters and a rich storyline.
I have the game and downloaded it going to start it tonight and play it on the Portal.
In terms of game software sales, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth ranks first with 310,596 copies, followed by Princess Peach Showtime! was in second place with 104,820 units, and Rise of the Ronin was in third place with 84,785 units.
In addition, Dragon's Dogma 2 and Unicorn Overlord also made it into the ranking, making the top 5 monthly software titles all new titles for the first time in 2 years and 5 months.
What’s the total I want to know? Like it could be slow sales for that month. I’m hoping it’s total is better than FF16.
Rise of the Ronin, Rebirth and Unicorn Overlord are all fantastic games that I would recommend to anyone one.
Don't listen to the BS about Ronin it's fantastic.
Push Square: "We've always been massive fans of Vanillaware here at Push Square. The talented Japanese developer has been crafting bangers for decades now, and its latest release, a gorgeous strategy RPG called Unicorn Overlord, is arguably one of its best games to date. So, when we were handed the opportunity to interview someone who's worked closely with the studio for quite some time, we simply couldn't refuse. We asked producer Akiyasu Yamamoto about the long-term relationship between publisher Atlus and Vanillaware, the developer's inner workings, and Unicorn Overlord itself."
Playing this right now and it’s addictive. Great game even if you aren’t a big strategy rpg gamer you may be able to get into this one as its a small squad based strategy and not individual classes on a tile map so it makes for some nice combos and plays a bit different.
