The sequel improves upon the original, which was already one of the top indie games in recent memory, by expanding upon its mythology, retaining and enhancing its fast-moving gameplay, introducing extraordinary new level designs, providing plenty of replay value, and wrapping everything in a stunning pixel art package. The story is somewhat melodramatic and hub levels add little of value, but these are relatively small flaws in one of the smartest, most entertaining platformers on the market."
Review - Freedom Planet 2 evokes so much of what makes a great platformer, but feels a little bloated in parts.
One of the best sequels out there, period.

For those of you coming in fresh, don’t expect Sonic, because that’s a different franchise. Brace for an actual storyline, balanced combat and exploration, and some positively charged adventure that keeps you locked in. After a bit of time in the shadows, Lilac, Carol, Milla and now Neera Li step into the spotlight all on their own, and it’s a banger title to carry around on the Switch or play on the big screen. "
