Joe LaRue of The Koalition writes: It has been 12 years since Capcom released the sequel, but Dragon’s Dogma 2 has finally arrived and I could not be more enthralled with a game. I genuinely can’t say enough good things about the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2. It’s beautiful to behold and full of secrets, caves, encounters, and stories that only you will get to tell. I will try not to spoil anything in this review, but I will say that this is a game you must play to experience the storytelling.

I watched the video in 4k. Horizon Forbidden West and Demon's Souls were the standouts to me, they look quite beautiful and noticeably improved with more detail, are richer. My words are not enough to describe them - but compare them to the standard PS5 versions and you can see what PS5 Pro offers.
Nobody doubted that this thing wouldnt benefit existing games.... its how well it will deal with new games. And the base 5 still has yet to be pushed to its limits. And now with a Pro... it never will.
I love their point that even for people who don't get the PS5 Pro, you will benefit from it when you play back-compat mode on PS6. Just like how PS5 plays PS4 games with PS4 Pro settings, PS6 should do the same with PS5 games. But this looks better than I thought. Reconsidering...
Entering Q4 and with the impending release of the PS5 Pro and major AAA titles this holiday season, Dragon's Dogma 2 has a golden opportunity for DLC.
I have to disagree. Personally, I feel like DD2 still needs a lot of optimization. I really dislike games that try to sell a bunch of DLC when their game is still a mess.
Capcom might be working on a Dragon's Dogma 2 DLC, as recent updates on the game's Steam files hint at possible new content.
