Bethesda reminds you how much you want The Elder Scrolls 6 by teasing early builds

Bethesda will do as Bethesda does, tormenting us with talk of a playable build of TES 6 on the 30-year anniversary of The Elder Scrolls series.

I lost a lot of enthusiasm for Elder Scrolls VI after playing Starfield. It was interesting, but it was still a massive disappointment for me. Elder Scrolls is different from Starfield in many ways, but I can’t bring myself to trust Bethesda with anything anymore.

The problem is that PC is not generally the best experience. There are select few that will fiddle for hours to get an expensive game they bought for their extremely expensive rig to work. On top of that, you need to rent the games from Steam or Epic with Denuvo bricking games. Yes, there's GoG, but most of their games are old and can be played on mid tier gaming PCs which are not better than consoles.

I would be cautious about the next ES. If they use the same engine, the game will be a loading screen.

Although Elder Scrolls is my favorite series of all time, Starfield killed all interest for me. They are still trying to cram a current gen game into a 30 year old game engine and it isn't working. They have fallen so far behind tech wise but are too confident and stubborn to make any notable improvements. I am still optimistic they will turn things around, but I have little faith at this point.

It's in creation engine like starfield...level of anticipation and desire to play another game with it in there, is low for me. Starfield was trash, they want a winner ditch creation engine, go with a modified ue5, or build a whole new engine, if that takes them 10 years so beit. I just hope they don't release another game that looks as awful and is as broken and boring as Starfield...

A Morrowind remake in UE5.
Can be a great a transition project for Bethesda to ditch the Creation engine and switch to UE finally.
No need to worry about story & quests, just focus totally on the technical side.

yep, that doubt is the very reason, they haven't switched yet, the task'd be monumental for them, given the highly interactive nature of their games.
People might comment: "well this 'x' UE game has done that or that 'y' UE game has already done that feature" ... well, yeah but along with the features Bethesda also has to come up with lore, world building, numerous dialogues, quests and what not (think more like next Skyrim than Starfield) ... their games might be archaic but those ship with content.
And if they are to take this monumental transition it'll cause more delay on top of the already huge gap between their releases ...

The way Microsoft is running the company and how StarField turned out I am concerned Skyrim was Bethesda’s peak.

I'm probably in the minority but I'd honestly rather have a new Fallout in the same vein as New Vegas or 3. We have plenty of fantasy RPGs to scratch that itch nowadays. Fallout has a unique feel, even with all the post apocalyptic games they've been released over the years.

Fallout New Vegas remake would be dope or a Fallout like it. Get rid of the base building and focus on the story and weapons like New Vegas did. Minus all the bugs and crashes of course

Not sure how much they can par back the complexity of the Elder Scrolls after Skyrim. Game was barely an RPG.

I don't believe they are capable of making good games ever again. Probably the studio's good talents have already abandoned. Zero Hype about my favorite game franchise next game.
