We recently interviewed Final Fantasy XVI staff at PAX East 2024, namely producer Naoki Yoshida and DLC director Takeo Kujiraoka, discussing the upcoming The Rising Tide DLC while reflecting on the development process of Final Fantasy XVI as a whole
The legacy of the crystals has shaped our history for long enough.
But will it sell well? Let's see if everyone that was bemoaning this title as a PS5 exclusive now has the balls to back it up and purchase this game on Xbox. This game sold over 3 million copies in three days on PS5 alone. Let's see how many Xbox players will show up.
I’m replaying this game right now on Ps5 and while i like it a bit better this time (cause i knew what to expect) some of the choices made in this game gameplay and traversal wise are still mind-numbingly baffling to me.
Final Fantasy 16 has likely sold more than 3.5 million copies.
This isn’t news. The analyst could be right or wrong. Square Enix hasn’t said anything.
Doesn’t matter. People will still believe the mistake. How are you an analyst and get it wrong?
Lifetime sales of Square Enix's action role-playing game, Final Fantasy XVI, have reached 3.5 million copies.
A terrible game, but good it sold well then they keep the franchise alive. I hope they do better next time with an RPG and not a dmc clone..
I hope this helps the 'complete' edition go on sale for a huge discount. It went on sale a while ago for only about 25% off but I'm waiting for that 50% off (or higher) sweet spot.
It underperformed because it was on less platforms I get no one wants to admit
That
It´s happening
We'll see, either Microsoft are praying then a truck load of money to bring it over, or they are willing to see if it will sell. If it's the latter then Xbox gamers better show up to buy it- if they don't square enix won't bother again.
Yyeeeahhh......
I think with the new Xbox relationship and seeing how these games aren’t meeting sales expectations it makes sense that they’re Putting them on Xbox.
