The next UI update for the PS5 is currently undergoing beta testing, and it is set to introduce live wallpapers and widgets.
"First-person roguelikes like Gunfire Reborn and Roboquest can be quite fun when done well. Another such game is MythForce, which comes from Beamdog, the developer that brought Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 to modern platforms (while mostly ditching the co-op). MythForce features cartoon-like visuals and a fantasy theme, making it quite different from most of its peers. It will soon reach its "final form" via the upcoming Version 1.2 update," says Co-Optimus.
Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a new update after developers previously stated it no longer would, bringing the possibility of more still to come.
I'm hoping the update fixes their poor FSR 3 implementation, and add FSR 4. FSR 2 looks better than FSR 3 in CP2077 by a wide margin. On my 7900XT I just use XESS if I want to add RT at custom 3K resolutions. Already beat the main game, but half way through Phantom Liberty expansion. I would like to get back to it later on this month.
The Outerhaven writes: While I hold Bethesda's The Evil Within series as some of the best Survival Horror games available, it's clear that Bethesda has no intention of revisiting the series. While Capcom is still working on its Resident Evil series, I look back at the now-dead survival horror series from Bethesda, wondering why the series was left wide open, and yet still not revisited.
An OK horror series left behind. It had some great ideas, but it never knew how to play to its strengths. Instead, it came out like just another RE4 clone.
I would love for a third entry to come out, but it needs to learn to lean in on the psychological aspect and move away from the generic "pew pew" ideology at the center of the gameplay loop. It doesn't need to abandon it; it just needs to put it into better context, is all.
Also, try a first-person perspective instead. Too many 3rd-person games with nothing to offer but an avatar taking precious screen space. At least make it an actual option and not that janky-ass mess the second game pretended to have.
Only in the Explore menu.
Sonfor people crying about custom background, please keep on crying.
I miss the PS4 os in a lot of ways it had a far cleaner look.
I don't really like the ps5 constant dark mode on everything and having sparks on things. Plus I think there is just to much on the screen at all times.
Sony kind of ditched their clean design language they had cultivated I felt the PS3 to PS4 transition was a appropriate modernization at the time with a focus on games and gaming content instead of alternate settings across the bar
I dislike seeing games I don't own or content I don't own outside of the store and I feel like I see more of that these days on my 5.
Bring back the goddamn XMB from the PS3/PSP days, I swear to god that was one of the greatest UIs of all time.
