Is Rise of the Ronin Deluxe Edition Worth it?

Rise of the Ronin is releasing in two separate editions this month. With a difference of just $10, is the Digital Deluxe Edition worth it?

Deluxe editions are only worth it to me if they provide extra mission or story DLC. I’m not interested if it’s only items or cosmetics.

Game looks like last gen trash tbh. Definitely going to pass especially with Dragons Dogma coming out on the same day.

The previews are not shaping up too good either dude

Still a day 1 along with Dragons Dogma 2 and possibly Peach & HI-Fi Rush. I love the smear campaign this game is getting cause of Dogmas 2 circle jerk fest.

I never buy more than one full price game on launch day... this week I'm making an exception.

I like this answer. Last year and this year have been relentless on great games.

Ronin looks bland, lifeless, with the same combat as previous titles the devs have released. Thats why it’s getting hate. Not only that but the previews are saying it drops frames even though it’s supposed to run at 30 fps. If the game gave us something new it could have been great but when it gives us a stale recycled game with open world tropes thrown in, then it deserves criticism.

You keep that same energy the next time another Souls game comes out. You haven't even played it, but I'm glad you could tell that it looks lifeless and bland. Recycled open world? GTFO here with that. Do you realize how many of those are coming out and in production? More than half you idiots don't even realize the setting of the story is the Meiji period with the Shinsegumi. Also you obviously didn't see the people crying about 30 fps for DD2, or you wouldn't be trying so hard either. I'll tell you what I've seen enough of the game to know what I'm about to play.

Hold that L

It's not getting a rough ride a lot respected ppl have said its boring open world junk and terrible graphics but combat is okay dumbed down from previous team ninja games I personally will be buying it as looks interesting to me and graphics dint look terrible

8bitAssassin405d ago

It's not a situation where, I personally need to justify my purchase. It's a situation where, I don't care what X game did or looked like to completely disregard a cool experience. I share the same sentiments with.your last sentence completely. 🙏🏽

Rise of the Ronin PC Review | Thumb Culture

Rise of the Ronin was the best breath of fresh air I needed when it comes to feudal Japan and sword fighting. Playing a game where it’s a mix of Dark Souls, For Honor and a splash of Shadow of Mordor. I would be recommending this game to those who love Japan’s history and sword fighting, but just on the PS5. The reason is that this game killed my 3070, and I’ve had to regress to continue playing the game. I would have tested it on the Steam Deck, but I’m not willing to lose that too.

So, play this game on the PS5, but if you don’t have one, you can play it on PC. Just make sure it’s a Super edition or a 4080 just to be safe

Rise of the Ronin Interview – Team Ninja on the Steam Release, PC Gaming in Japan, & More

Ahead of Rise of the Ronin  launching on Steam today, RPG Site had a chance to talk to Yosuke Hayashi, Producer and Executive Vice President at Koei Tecmo, and Fumihiko Yasuda, Development Producer & Head of Team Ninja, about the PC version and more.

Now I hope they start developing Nioh 3! Those are my personal favourites. I loved Rise Of The Ronin but the openworld isn't as challenging as the close combat levels of the Nioh series in my opinion. I would love more Nioh a.s.a.p. ;)
