I don't know how much they would have to sell to break even but I imagine that its not that much. I doubt it will bomb given the current level of interest in Stellar Blade.

I'm sure it will sell to the 10 thirsty n4g fans, but it won't sell to the masses. Bayonetta doesn't sell that much and this is a smaller, less known studio.

Just looking at the current preorder charts on PlayStation its number 10 with over a month to go. While it might not sell millions upon millions, it won't equate to a bomb. I don't think anyone reasonably expects it to be top seller of the year, but thats far from a bomb.

This is a small studio, surely the budget is very contained and the game has had a lot of exposure by Sony, unless it reviews terribly I think it will do at least well enough for us to see more of this developer.

If you stop judging the game for the fan service for a second, actually the gameplay they've been showing looks quite good, i'm pretty sure it's going to do well, not 10 million units well but at least break even or make a good profit easily.
