I'm sorry but Miles needs to take a vacation or step back or something.
It's worrying because Spiderman 2 felt like it was juggling too many characters where Miles felt he was taking away potential good screen time from Harry allowing us to see his and Peters relationship develop more. Now they've teased Silk at the end of Spiderman 2 so that's even more characters. They could barely juggle two leads, imagine having three.
They definitely should have given Miles a smaller role in spider man 2 and given him more dlc or a new game like last time. Stories suffer when you cram to much into them but don't give them the time to "cook"

Miles should have been on vacation or super hurt and out of action at the start of Spiderman 2 only to come back for Miles Morales 2
They tried to juggle Peter, Harry, MJ, Miles, Venom, Miles friends and family, Peter’s side missions, Miles side missions, Kravens Last Hunt and a Symbiote war in one game which wasn’t the longest.
If Miles were more like how he is in the Spider verse movies would you think differently? Personally I really don't like Miles in the games and his spin-off only made me dislike him more.
Why would Miles have to take a vacation? If you don't like him as the main character, then good for you. Don't buy the game.
Insomniac wants to tell his story and they should, hell am shocked they didn't kill off Peter, would definitely have made it more exciting

If you aren't busy twisting my comment, it's not about "not liking" Miles, like I clearly said above Insomniac can't tell a story and juggle so many characters. The game was short and they were trying to do so much where other areas fell flat.
If Miles wasn't in the picture for this game then Harry could have gotten more of the spotlight and allowed us to spend more time with him where his and Peters relationship would have been developed in game more so when that "turn" happens it packs a bigger punch in regards to the story. We could have even played some smaller segments as Harry at the start of the game with his Symbiote abilities until he turns and we end up playing Venom nearer the end of the game wrecking havoc across the city.

Spider-Man 2, was far far better than the 1st game, Insomniac clearly wants to focus on Miles, if you don't like that, good for you, don't buy. Miles being in Spider-Man 2 made it a far better game than the 1st.

I find Peter's to be more strategy focused and Miles just power fantasy fun. I like both for what they are. I do feel that we're approaching the point where they will likely do multiverse stuff and introduce a new Spider-Man (obviously mostly likely Gwen), so they'll once again have another 'play as two different people' in a single game, which can be good and bad. I think Spider-Man 2 was a bit too much going on all the time and certain moments just felt jarring as it suddenly got calm or very focused on just one thing.
The last but of gaming news I want to hear is they're schlepping out another Spiderman game... Good god, make something new.
Microsoft and Nintendo have shat out much more sequels to older franchises than Sony. For some unknown reasons, everyone acts like Sony is the only one doing it, or at least the only one that gets ridiculed for it.
Most of Sonys studios have worked on different IPs each generation, with only one or two sequels. Even existing ones like God of War, had a complete overhual.
Who is saying Nintendo and microsoft are better? Another spider man game sounds lame. Make new stuff. Who's commenting on Nintendo and microsoft?
Its sad that in this day of diminishing returns no one is asking for new stuff.
It really sucks that insomniac is just a marvel studio now. One of the more technically talented studios out there, but it looks like their own IPs are taking a backseat for the foreseeable future.
They need to not make this game yet and let it sit for a bit. Let the developer work on something innovative
Eh, id rather have a focused singular hero. Playing as both was crazy ambitious in 2 and they pulled it off very well but you could definitely feel where things were stretching and giving to make that happen.
The modding team behind the unofficial PC port of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has managed to run an early build of Marvel's Spider-Man 3 on PC.
They should focus their efforts on Spooderman, you know the one we've all been waiting for, but Insomniac will never make.

The downvotes are reflective of Spooderman's core belief: He is not the hero the world wants, and he's not the hero the world needs, but he is the hero that the world gets.

How is it misleading? It's our first look at the game. The title doesn't say it's the first *official* look.
But it is implied. The point is that a game would never be shown in this state for a "first look".

Yeah going back to New York is going to be hard, it's going to get samey eventually.
They can add a new area again but I can't really see anything big that would really make it feel fresh as setting it in a new location might cause uproar because Spiderman is a New York based superhero, unless they put Miles in a new city and switch between them through different instalments.

The same setting isn't the issue. It's the level of detail in gameplay variation within that setting. They could really add much more depth to side content and handcraft the majority of missions.
Dramatically improving interactions with the world is what they need to focus on.
They could 100% reboot resistance, make wolverine sequel, and a sunset overdrive sequel before coming back to spiderman amd it would lessen the spiderman burnout by a lot.

After the Microsoft showcase I can 100% confirm they are not in a comfortable position anymore. They cant top what we just saw. I'd love them to prove me wrong but I just for the first time thought to myself in going to buy an Xbox and get gamepass.

You realize that unlike MS, Sony no longer shows or announces their games years ahead of time, right?
Before PS6 we will get a games from Sucker Punch, Naughty Dog, Haven, Firewalk, Insomniac, Guerilla, Santa Monica, Bluepoint, etc. They just aren't going to show a cinematic in 2021 to re-reveal the game in 2024 and not even put a year on it.
X-actly... Showing games is worthless when a quarter of them won't even come out, the rest will be delayed for years, and will end up being underwhelming when they finally do drop.
My current tier list as far as how much fun you can have with them in 2024 is

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 nearly perfected its boss fight formula and one refinement could make it even more fluid and immersive in a third main entry.
Spoiler thumbnail lol. I don't mind the dialogue in the boss fights as long as it is not cringy. Let the interaction between spiderman and the bosses be meaningful.
I hope it can solve the annoying boss issue of them never shutting TF up

The big dilemma for Spider-Man 3 is to lower the 385 millions cost of Spider-Man 2. I has to go down to the 200 millions budget, 50+ millions of marketing included and continue being as good as the two before. Sony and Insomniac need to work hard on this.

Maybe, but how hard is it for a multi-billion company to simply include such options for everyone, regardless of where you happen to live and buy/play your games?
A Japanese audio-track exists, so why not just offer us the option to download it and enjoy the game (perhaps on a 2nd or 3rd run) with a different language audio-track (and English subs).
Instead, they have gone out of their way to making it impossible to play these games in Japanese with English subs, even when you buy the Japanese copy.
So 1st party studios are working on single player games! Good news!
So I guess that means , INSOMNIAC is not working on a new single player campaign for RESITISTANCE or a new IP .
