this game just needs to go away

Christopher88d ago

Yes. Because people don't like the game we should take it away from everyone and wipe away the entire effort of people who made it based on executive design decisions.

The reality that a lot of people won't want to admit is that WB will soon do a cost benefit analysis and will cease almost all new content for this game. The highest daily player count is under 1000. Down vote me all you like but they aren't going to spend money on this Gaas game if there's no one to buy the new content. Glad I didn't buy it. I tried it at a store and it was a hard no. They won't learn if you try to force fun out of this. And they definitely won't support it.

The fix is to pull the plug. Next time listen to consumers when they tell you they don’t want this crap.

People really hasn't give the game a chance... the gameplay is actually pretty fun!!!!!!!! A season or two of new content is all what this game needs. But hating it is vogue, so, keep hating it.

CrimsonWing6988d ago (Edited 88d ago )

Yes, I will. Lots of people like terrible games, doesn’t mean I need to support them nor will I put any money towards this GaaS diarrhea of a game. Glad you’re loving it and are looking forward to the 2 seasons that might “make it a better game.”

tombfan88d ago

@Crismon... You will? The game's already in a good shape excepting the metropolis bug that has already been adressed. Game's hefty, fun, exciting and has potential to expand. Just let me know, have you played it? Or you're just sheeping your way in this answer?

A few seasons will just give the game more fun content and expand it. So that's exciting. Also, the fact that the seasonal content will be there to stay is a MUST and no-other-game makes it this way, season comes and goes, here you'll be able to experience the content even if the season ended.

Look, you can try to tell me sewer rat tastes great, but I don't need to eat it when there's much better things out there to eat, know what I mean, Vern?

What's so hefty, fun and exciting in this game? Doing the same GaaS like grinding missions with Crackdown levels of bouncing and shooting? Whoopee-dee-doo... I have no interest in that. More power to you that it doesn't take much to float your boat with a game.

What's the newer content? More of the same? I'm sorry, but this game is the sweaty butt-crack of the industry and I just don't want to support this game no matter how much you love it.

tombfan88d ago

@Crimson, what games do you like to play, for me SS is an exception, because I don't play GaaS games, I usually play adventure games, puzzles, fighting, RPGs. So I can base my answer about the content you mention knowing what games you like to play, because multiplayers, shooters, tend to be 5 vs 5 deathmatch and it's the same game over and over again, yet, people play it non-stop, or capture the flag or Royale match where it's the saaaaame thing, get weapons, kill until you're the last one, same thing, the content is sooooo repetitive, yet, people don't complain.

So... why this game's hated when there are other games praised by the world and they have repetitive content as well.

@tombfan

Look, I’m not trying to go to war with you. You seem like a nice fellar and I think this is a situation where we will agree to disagree.

I’ll throw a few questions your way though just to give context from my position on this.

First question is, what’s the difference between a GaaS game (Live Service Game) and a traditional game?

What’s the design philosophy around a GaaS game? To narrow things down specifically, why choose to go with a GaaS game over developing a traditional game?

What is the gameplay loop inherent with a GaaS designed game vs the gameplay loop around a traditional game that even may have the same mechanics?

Give me the answer to those and you’ll understand why I won’t put any money towards games like this UNLESS they feel like a traditional game and the experience is exactly like a traditional game with a beginning and end full of a variety of interesting elements to keep things feeling fresh.

As for games I like, man… I have like a Chef Ramsay level palette for that. I’d say I run the gamut of things like Bio Shock, Resident Evil to Final Fantasy and Baldur’s Gate 3. I don’t necessarily tie myself down to a specific genre, per se.

But seriously, I’m glad you enjoy Suicide Squad. I remember enjoying Drakengard 3 and couldn’t convince any of my friends to try it out… though to be fair, it’s ain’t a great game by any stretch of the imagination, but I liked it. So, it’s ok to like crappy games, but you can’t disregard why people don’t like the game you do when there’s some seriously glaring flaws with it.

I’ll just leave it at that.

@Crimson

I get your questions and understand why you won't invest time in a GaaS game when there a finite games with great stories and gameplay loops such as Nier Automata, like you say, Bioshock, Uncharted even, I like all of those, I don't get why I gave this game a chance tho...

Maybe it's because I really like Rocksteady games and I feel that they've been on the hate train for this try of a new genre, tho I agree with you that being a GaaS game makes it just a bit more hard to love.

Tbh, I didn't expect to like the game as much as I do, it may be crappy for some, yes, but I think the gameplay loop is pretty awesome. Maybe I'm so insistent because I know for sure that If a GaaS game is not loved by an audience, it'll be killed and maybe even left unfinished, sadly.

I’m sure the 42 people still playing are super stoked for this. Better take the day off so you can grind for 4 hours just to use the character. Let me guess, he’s got his own Elseworld and there’s fucking icicles everywhere. /s

I doubt there's even that many lol

Edit: Just checked the first look and they made him super queer.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Players Lose Hope For Season 2 After Update

The remaining few players of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are losing hope for the game’s future after a disappointing update for Episode 2.

P_Bomb5d ago

“…significant issues like the extensive amount of time needed to unlock Joker as a playable character were ignored.”

Which in turn makes the game easier to ignore. Not a great season.
