“While definitely rough around the edges, I thoroughly enjoyed Penny's Big Breakaway. There is a lot to get out of its levels whether it's a faster time, higher score, or all of its collectibles but I don't even need a specific reason to play through them again because controlling Penny is entertaining enough in and of itself. If you're looking for a fun and fast 3D platformer then look no further.” - Martijn van Gent from Video Chums.

Well..for me some of the best indies 2024 were Forgive Me Father 2, Thronefall and Last Epoch.

The three titles in the thumbnail are my three favorite new releases of the year.
Astro Bot is my GOTY but Indiana Jones is a close second and Stellar Blade right up with them. Shadow of the Erdtree is my favorite gaming experience of the year though.
I played Penny's Bug Breakaway after hearing John rave about it so much on DF. One of the worst platformers, it did not click with me at all, and maybe it was a skill issue but through to the end, it just felt kinda off. Like the direction and momentum I expected to go didn't match where I felt I aimed, especially with an angled camera

Penny’s Big Breakaway is a 3-D action platformer with some of the most unique movements I’ve ever seen. Before we begin, yeah, you should buy it.
