My copy should come sooner than later. I’ll probably play it after FF7Rebirth platinum

I didn't finish it, I'm at later stages of act 3. It's a great game but not the best IMHO.

anast58d ago

Which is the best IYHO?

jznrpg58d ago

No game is for everyone. I played the original games a lot back in the day along with the Icewindale’s ,Neverwinter Nights etc. so these types of games are up my alley. To each his own

anast58d ago

I was surprised how much voice acting actually matters in these games. It's tough to go back.

I never played a rpg before bought final fantasy double pack on psn remake and rebirth and I played remake for 7 hrs straight never done that on any game loving it I be same when rebirth downloads best games I played can't believe I never tried them before

My absolute favorite genre and there are do many great bangers out there. Other great modern RPGs if you ever feel in need to check would be dragon quest 11, persona 3-4-5, baldurs gate 3, the Witcher 3.

And then there are those more on less story telling but just as amazing as Zelda botw/totk and the soulslike games like dark souls, Elden ring, sekiro.

a game with 25x's the development time, according to Todd Howard.

I know Larian hasn't thought about a DLC, but this is one of the few games that I actually want a DLC.

shinoff218358d ago (Edited 58d ago )

Naw just move on. Sounds like they put out a great product. I hope they let it be and move on. Please don't ruin that physical disc their bout tonbe releasing.

anast58d ago

Telling people to move on, we got the man/women in charge of the velvet rope... All my discs still work after DLCs have been released.

We still talking about this overrated game? When will you all stop pretending to like this game just to put up the facade of being a "real gamer"?

jznrpg58d ago

That makes no sense. Some people really like it some don’t. That’s everything -

SeTTriP58d ago

Over 100hrs I fail to see how it's overrated, care to elaborate?

The second game had me hooked right from the beginning. They make quality games.

Honestly, I'd like to see their take on a more science-fiction or space-based setting. But frankly it will be worth paying attention to anything they do.

Good stuff. While I would have loved more content in BG3, it's a smart move to run as far as they can from WoTC.

Glemt4d ago

Any idea when this update is dropping?

With Larian Out Of The Picture, Will The Baldur's Gate IP Be In Safe Hands?

Huzaifah from eXputer: "With Larian Studios washing their hands of the IP, what is the ultimate fate of the legendary Baldur's Gate series?"

RaidenBlack5d ago

If anybody's gonna mention BioWare, then look at Archetype Entertainment, they're the new BioWare
or else
Obsidian is still a good choice but not independent anymore.

anast5d ago (Edited 5d ago )

No, WoTC is pivoting to mobile. They can use Larian's work to justify DnD Go and everyone will accept it.

RiseNShine5d ago

Short answer, nope. Long answer, f*ck nope.

robtion4d ago

Correct answer. Most people don't realise that the companies that are still making good games using common sense and a customer focus are generally not American. They are from Poland, Belgium, Japan, or other countries that have not yet become completely corrupted by 'extreme capitalism'.

Before you down vote me into oblivion I am not anti-american. I just don't like greed and corruption which unfortunately seems to correlate with power.

I would guess the next Baldurs gate will probably be filled with GaaS.
