At this point, this is just funny

bloop63d ago

Funny up until you realise a once brimming with talent studio is in the shit now.

To be fair even if Rocksteady were forced to make a live service game they couldve done a better job. Like i get the whole upper management interfering and demanding things to be added but theres a number of live service titles that have come out that were still good games...recent Helldivers is a very good example.
You can still have good gameplay and interesting ideas/mechanics even if its a live service title. Something Suicide Squad sorely lacked.

-Foxtrot63d ago

It's pretty hilarious

They wanted all their games to be live service going forward yet their first big GaaS game is a complete failure, ruining Rocksteady's reputation in the process yet the one which isn't GaaS, the pure single player experience is the one which goes onto being their biggest success.

Gee. It's almost like it's telling them something.

Omegasyde63d ago

WB did the same thing with Mortal Kombat 1.

I won’t buy WB games day 1 now because of it.

robtion63d ago

Would be if it wasn't so sad.

H963d ago

It was for me, but then they kept insisting so well they made their own bed they should sleep in it

SDuck63d ago

WB is the only one doing the surprised Pikachu face lol I didn't see many positive hopes for this game ever since they dropped the first gameplay footage. Should've cancelled it all together right at that moment

The moment Kill The Justice League was shown to not be single player, it was never going to be purchased by me. Shame that Rocksteady went that route.

CrimsonWing6963d ago

I just hope WB plucks out that wild hare they have up their a** for GaaS. Like, how many f*cking times do you have to fail before it gets through your thick skull? At this point it almost feels like defiance and they won’t stop until consumers finally give in and splurge on microtransactions and praise an unfinished, anemic, shell of a game with a grind-hard gameplay loop that the only way to not lose your mind is to pay to make the grind easier.

-Foxtrot63d ago

"how many f****** times do you have to fail before it gets through your thick skull"

Basically

"How Many Times Do We Have to Teach You This Lesson, Old Man?"

Indeed. Sounds pretty accurate.

I think I platinumed it, It was awesome especially the first time you come across the horde

peppeaccardo7d ago

One of the best open world zombie game ever. Very engaging great story graphics and all.
These mofo should go back playing starfield and change phil's diaper.
GFYS!!

thorstein8d ago

The Order 1886 wasn't disappointing.

It was great.

Maybe do an article about Games Journalists Lied About. That would be a good read.

FPSRUSSIA8d ago (Edited 8d ago )

I Agree The order 1886 is Great but Short to bad there wont be a Sequel since the Developers Moved on to other Platforms.

DustMan7d ago

I thought it was great while it lasted. As soon as things got interesting and the action picked up the game ended. When it was over I legit was like "that's all of it?"

jimb0j0nes8d ago

Sure, the campaign was terrible, but MW3 isn't even the top three most disappointing COD games...

anast7d ago

That's a lot of Bethesda games on that list. Where's Starfield?

TwoPicklesGood7d ago

Whole lot of Sony games with Forsaken, Days Gone, Risen of the Ronin, and The Order 1886.

anast7d ago

In reality only one of those Sony games is actually just okay, and the others are good to solid. Whereas the Bethesda ones are objectively bad.

Tacoboto7d ago

Two of those Sony games aren't Sony games and the two that actually are, Sony clearly agreed based on their cutting ties with longtime partner Ready at Dawn and their well-reported rejection of DG2.

I'd like to check out The Order someday soon and see how it holds up since that style of shorter game fits my mood lately, but Forspoken was uniformly panned and RotR is a sign that Team Ninja needs to ease off the gas a bit to focus on quality over quantity.

Tacoboto7d ago

Suicide Squad being at number 2 or even in this list seems like a freebie - its existence alone was disappointing, I don't think many people actually had positive expectations for it near release.

Not having Starfield at all feels like they're ignoring a huge conversation of last year. Even as someone that likes the game, ignoring its reception is head-in-the-sand at best and its restrictions were magnified by its release alongside Baldur's Gate 3. The disappointment many feel about it FARRRRR exceeds any disappointment people have for random third party titles like... Biomutant, and Exoprimal... Same could be said for reception around Forza Motorsport.

Report: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Future Seasons to Feature Batman and More

According to leaks, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's future seasons will see the return of Batman as well as Arkham's Deathstroke.

-Foxtrot20d ago

So our Batman is actually dead then and died in such an awful way after everything he went through.

Meanwhile their big plan is to revive a version of him from a Medieval Elseworld

Wow. They really ruined the Arkhamverse in a single game.

TheKingKratos20d ago (Edited 20d ago )

It's not canon to me

Also it's so stupid to go with Brainiac instead of Darkseid for this elseworld story

DrDoomer19d ago

They must have brought in Neil Cuckmann to write and direct that scene.

0hMyGandhi19d ago

I can honestly imagine you hammering away that last "n" of his name on your keyboard and laughing hysterically to yourself.
Grow up.

Leeroyw19d ago

Gives sweet baby Inc a chance to make the next Batman diverse.

Knightofelemia20d ago

Medieval Elseworld really that sounds like a bigger mess then what the game is. Kudos I have respect that Conroy made some last voice recordings as Batman. But I am still not touching this game I myself I don't do loot and shoot and live service games.

Demetrius20d ago (Edited 20d ago )

Lmao must have been some jealousy management had towards the OG rocksteady guys, forcing them to make thus trash and ruin the arkham verse smh now I know we will never get another legit batman title cause the bozos ruined it smh

Hofstaderman20d ago

Wow WB is really committed to this train wreck....
