NIS America will release Falcom-developed action RPG Ys X: Nordics for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG this fall in the west, the publisher announced.
CCG writes - "Ys X: Nordics is another entry into the fantastic Ys series that I really thoroughly enjoyed. The dual-protagonist system is a lot of fun, and the way Adol and Karja play off of each other is also great. The time spent boating on the Sandras can be an enjoyable, relaxing time compared to the main combat, though early on it is a bit too slow. Despite this, it still lends itself to exploration, and NPCs change their dialogue whenever a major story event happens. There are lots of characters to get to know, and lots of story and side quests to experience if you want to. While I'm not sure if it's better than the very best entries like Ys VIII, it's a solid one for sure that I enjoyed a whole lot. "
Falcom has announced Ys X: Proud Nordics, a significantly upgraded version of Ys X: Nordics, featuring a new story, new setting, and numerous new elements. It will launch in 2025 in Japan. Platforms were not announced.
what! Ys X: Nordics is not even on sale and they already realising a new version :O Guess I will wait for this one!
They released Nordics over a year ago in Japan so it will probably take another year after release in Japan to get this game, so 2026 most likely
So this like part 2 or a reimagining ? Already beat Nordics and it was a really good.

Going to sell me copy after I get the platinum which I’m close to getting. I’ll buy the new version when it comes out
only Granblue is on sale for -50%, so go for that and when Ys X is on sale go for that
Weak. The game barely came out in the west. At least Persona 5 Royal was announced at least a year after the original game launched worldwide

I really enjoyed the “Vikings meets pirates” theme, the characters, the naval encounters, and without a shadow of a doubt, the fast-paced and cathartic combat system. I didn’t mind that the plot isn’t exactly that memorable, as this is not what we’re here for. It does its job, giving characters reasons to go where they need to go, and do what they need to do. The plot pacing has improved, and the visuals now look just a mere half decade behind the trends, and not two generations behind. All in all, this is a must-have for Ys and JRPG fans. NIS America and Falcom keep improving with each new entry, and I can’t wait to see what else they can come up with in the near future."

F that’s a long time! Maybe the translation will be better! I’ll probably play it in Japanese with subs anyway but with games I really like I’ll play the sub first and the dub after. I’ll gladly buy it this fall physically on PS5 despite the long wait.
Why can't they start release their games along side Japan like all other JRPG. Even Tales of games I don't have to wait anymore.
