Threw a grenade at some bugs coming up the hill at extraction but the grenade hit the tip of the wing on the shuttle and wiped us out instead. Great stuff

Honestly had no issues with randoms, they've benefits brilliant. Although admittedly, no one has spoken in any games I've played but they have used chat and we are always pinging.

There was a lot of restlessness when the word went around about Sony and Gaas, but the truth is Sony has really needed a leg up in the multiplayer space as the days of Killzone, SOCOM, Uncharted MP, MAG and others are long gone. Helldivers 2 is a refreshing addition to the line up and I hope it encourages Sony to tackle multiplayer the right way, with first party quality offerings.

There’s clearly room for both. My stance has been that good MP games will help fund SP games and who knows I may enjoy one of these MP games like I did those games you named above.

Absolutely. Nothing beats a diverse, quality line-up and Sony has always delivered that, but multiplayer has fallen by the wayside in the latter part of the PS4 generation after the likes of Killzone Shadow Fall and DriveClub and Dreams didn't do as expected. They went more into third party games like Destiny and CoD.

Hopefully this is the start of having that complete portfolio back so people can stop chattering about the homogenisation of Sony titles, which I don't believe anyway. Story driven SP games are my bread and butter and I'll play them all day.

Correct. A lot of gamers were bullshitting about games like this and now are being embarrassed with Hell Divers. Jim wanted to add online games that were fun that can run parallel with their single player games. Games that make money that they can use to fund more games being that Microsoft is cutting into their profits by buying up 3rd parties.

But all we heard was pushback from people who don't know better and down with Sony and Jim needs to be fired and all that crap. When Sony brings it their other online games, they'll be just as fun. Some will have micro transactions, some will be free to play with free updates. But people got to let them try before downplaying they effort without even looking or trying the games.

Helldivers 1 was a co op shooter.

Helldivers 2 is a co op shooter...and its $40 not full price.
Im not sure where the change in direction is...Its an existing IP and anyone with a brain could tell it would be awesome. Just looking at some of that earlier footage was enough for me.

This game is so much fun. I've been playing it with only my friend and I and we are having a blast. It's challenging only playing with 2 people but it really is fun. I'm glad it's challenging though. I can't stand games that are just too easy.

The game is great has a great community love the risk and reward of the higher difficulty level the grind part is a bit much but it’s super fun! For SUPER EARTH

Bought helldivers 1 at launch on ps4 because I lived Magika from Arrowhead studios. I never deleted the game from my hard drive because I always was in the mood to play it. This 2nd game is so good. Maintains everything you love about the first game.

As someone who stopped playing online games about 10 years ago (the original Destiny was the last game I played), I tried this game as a massive fan of the 1st game.

I have to say, I am all the way back into online service games, this one seems super fair with its economies and progression and the gameplay is absolutely stellar, I cannot believe how good this game feels to play!!

Just wish it didn’t crash every 10-20 mins on my PC. Hope they can fix the issue but most fingers are pointing at their choice of anti cheat as the cause. Idk enough to say for myself but I’ve tried the suggested tricks to no avail. Hoping that installing it to my HDD rather than SSD fixed the issue

BTW.... For those new to helldiving.... The first game offers the exact same white knuckle experience only it's in top down isometric view.... Still has a great community too. Exceptional game!
