"The London-based (the UK) indie games publisher Super Rare Originals and Massachusetts-based (the US) indie games developer Bynine Studio, are today very glad and proud to announce that their surreal 3D platformer “Cavern of Dreams“, is coming to the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo Eshop on February 29th, 2024." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Dave writes, "Cavern of Dreams is a labour of love to a simpler time in gaming. With a charming, child-like nature, this 3D adventure is a great way to enjoy a new game that draws inspiration from some of the best platformers from the late 90s."
Cavern of Dreams is a short but sweet puzzle platformer that feels like a hidden gem from the bygone era of early 3D platformers.
WTMG's Leo Faria: "If the developers’ intention was to make this game look and feel like a Nintendo 64 platformer, then Cavern of Dreams has succeeded. It looks the part, it feels like one of those games, for better or worse. With that being said, it managed to look like a mid-tier platformer from that era, something akin to Gex or Tonic Trouble, and not exactly a big player from the system’s upper echelon. Still, that’s not entirely a bad thing, just know what to expect from it. If you’re looking for a nostalgic shot of joy, Cavern of Dreams is very flawed, but it can provide some entertainment for a few hours."
