The need to refill Head very often adds a unique additional element to the gameplay. That, layered with challenging and enjoyable puzzles, a fantastic world to navigate, and unique creatures within it, make for a really entertaining experience. There are some frustrations that come with Head’s lacking autonomy, as it can be annoying to have to constantly return to the air tanks rather than just exploring, and the set pieces not resetting can be a little annoying.
Airhead is a Metroidvania-style puzzle-platformer set in a beautiful but dangerous world full of ancient technology. You play as Body, a small creature, and the round inflated organism it uses as a Head. While it is slowly deflating, you have a chance to save its life. This exploration of loss, decay, and hope was developed by Octato and Massive Miniteam!
