Remasters for the Classic Point and Click Discworld games "may happen", but it's up to the monarchy

From GameWatcher: "Between 1995 and 2000, three classic point-and-click games were released based on Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels. These games are Discworld, Discworld II: Missing Presumed...!?, and Discworld Noir.

For many years, fans have eagerly requested a rerelease or remaster of the series, making it a highly coveted item on GOG's Community Wishlist. This platform is renowned for revitalising classic DOS games, ensuring they can operate on modern machines."

Contra was hard with just 3 lives.

KwietStorm_BLM2172d ago (Edited 2172d ago )

Not really. Definitely not one of the most infuriatingly difficult games of all time.

DarXyde2172d ago

Go home, dude. You're drunk. Contra was definitely hard. Play it without the Konami code or save states.

Cuphead is far less worthy of this list than Contra. It's hard, but can still be beaten in single digit days.

KwietStorm_BLM2172d ago

God forbid someone has a different opinion or maybe can handle a difficult game, right? What's wrong with some of you? If I told you I've gone through Contra with the Konami code but never lost more than 3 lives, would that make any difference to you?

DarXyde2172d ago

Are you actually taking offense to me saying "go home, you're drunk"? Are you serious?

Fine, I'll make it palatable for your sensibilities...

I, and perhaps many others who remember how difficult classics like Contra are (and including Contra) strongly disagree with your exclusion of Contra from this list. It's arguably am objectively challenging title.

By the way, that question is likely rhetorical, but if you were to say you used the code and beat it without losing 3 lives, I'd call you a liar, of course!

Dixiedevil2172d ago

Clearly this person never had an NES.

KwietStorm_BLM2172d ago

Why do you say that? There's NES games on the list.

NapalmSanctuary2172d ago

No Ninja Gaiden? Seriously? Ninja Gaiden Black is harder than Dark Souls.

I found Cuphead more tedious and boring than difficult.

That's when you know the difference between a real journalist that does research and a wannabe.

Monkey Island was re-done as well. What a shit list, but great games!

Im playing Grim right now. Love it.

Summons753043d ago

I would love for Space Quest to get a revivial! I would also love for a proper King's Quest P&P game vs this episodic stuff, the episodic stuff is OKAY at best but nowhere near as fun as the original. Plus like every episodic game it's taking waaaaaaaaaay too long to release episodes.

hehe, puts tongue icon on self "I bet you wish you could!"
