I have this for PS4 and I think I have a Vita copy too. This game is fairly old I’m surprised they are porting it to Switch

Good for them, they make great games. Just started playing Ys VIII as it's been in my backlog for a while now
Do you have to play the others to understand it or is it it's own story/characters?
@keenbean no you don't have to, the main character is the same but every other setting is new, each game is a stand alone journey of Adol in a new place
there are some cameos though, but nothing you absolutely need to know
I bought most of the Ys games recently on Steam because they were on sale. These games are worth buying at full price because many of them are hours of fun with an interesting story.
Probably next year at the rate their going. Trials of Cold Steel 3 is next Switch port.
