One of the best games in PlayStation’s library has been made even better. A graphical update and a whole host of new content make The Last of Us Part II Remastered easy to recommend for fans and newcomers alike.
Sony has finally removed sales restrictions from four major games on Steam, and all of them are compatible with the Steam Deck.
Marketing analyst estimates over 2 million units of The Last of Us Part II Remastered sold during HBO Season 2.
If true, this is why Sony keeps making them. A lot of "gamers" might complain or cry about it. But as long as these things keep making money, they will keep doing it and ignore all those complaining online

In a nutshell yes that is good the game is getting more attention more than ever thanks to the show I understand and acknowledge that. I'm saying all it promotes is more re-releases and remasters from games that don't need it.

Nah this is just short sited idiocy. Remasters and re-releases are a thing because the cost of making games is out of hand.
Also a large portion of these sales are to completely new customers. Add in that it's very profitable as shown by these sales. So that's 3 solid reasons to do what they did.
If true this means that game companies would need to make a successful mini-series for every remaster to pull these kinds of numbers.

I thought part 2 was 2 seasons, seasons 2 and 3. Season 4 wouldn’t have any source material unless ND made part 3 by then.

Season 2 did not come close to completing the story of the 2nd game...
They will continue the story passed what was created for the games. Sony is the one making the series. Is it possible that the series goes in a new direction? Yeah. But who knows.

You definitely didn't watch the show. They split the 2nd game into two seasons. If you played the 2nd game it actually makes sense.
You’re correct. I saw the first season, but I lost interest in the second season. Not due to the controversy of the second game-I actually like it. Mostly due to not being in the mood for a downer of a show at the moment. But I’ll check it out later.
Game 2 will finish in the show by the time season 4 ends. And no, they won't go on after that. Not unless there is another game
Season 2, 3 and 4 will cover The Last of Us Part 2.
And no, Sony and Neil will be there all the way.
This isn't an argument for the low-hanging fruit, but this here is exactly why Sony - and others - will keep producing them. Dev costs are low. Profitability is high. It's low risk, high reward. And given the skyrocketing costs in the AAA space, projects like this help fund future titles. I don't like it, and I'd much rather Sony - and others - release new titles, but I sure as hell understand why it happens.
Whats the point of making new games when you can keep releasing old ones 😂 they keep buying so why not?

If the story is deeply flawed to the blogger and it's a story game, how does the blogger justify giving it a 9? A deep flaw is unacceptable in any part of the game. If everything else was perfect, it would be an 8 game. Deep flaws are foundational issues.

Sound: 10
Story: 8 (Overreliance on flashbacks. While the story beats are properly paced and the plot points are generally pacy, it tries to tell 2 stories at once, which led to a structural issue in the overall story, but despite this the message and mood are striking relevant.)
Gameplay: 8 (Turning in the game is awkward and it gets in the way or searching for stuff and the quick turn in combat doesn't feel intuitive.)
Overall: 9
How tf a game with 8 gameplay and 8 story get a 9 overall? Graphics and sound does not! Make up for that. Gameplay and story hold way more weight than graphics and sound.

Playing the last of us 2, definitely a mf vibe we don't have enough post apocalyptic gems nowadays metro exodus and dying light 2 are both I can't forget lovely experiences, I got over Joel's death lol I stayed away from last of us 2 for that reason but I been enjoying it alot so far
