VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "2023 was a notable year for VR hardware, with both Sony's PSVR2 and Meta's Meta Quest 3 arriving on the scene. Both of them have primarily earned a considerable amount of praise for their technological advancements, but that's not to say their software output was extinct. Granted, early adoption tends to favor older ports with improved visuals and new controller/headset gimmicks; it comes with the territory. But within that flow of ports and updates came an exclusive for each respective platform reaching our shortlist. It's too early to tell if that presages a bountiful surplus of future masterclass VR games, but it's a welcoming sign all the same."
Humanity has finally arrived for Meta Quest, but as we find in our review, its a great puzzle game sorely lacking in VR features.
I played this in PSVR 2. It offers an adjustable viewpoint. I'm not sure what else you would need for a zen game like this.
If you buy a new Meta Quest 3 you get a free copy of Asgard's Wrath 2. Originally ending in January, the deal has been extended into June.
WTMG's Jordan Hawes: "Overall, Asgard’s Wrath 2 is the epic ARPG that I’ve always wanted in VR. It doesn’t hold back in scope and depth of gameplay in order to fit into the traditional bite sized nature of a VR experience. This is a full fledged ARPG that will absorb you for hours. It was constantly putting a smile on my face as it throws new and fun things at me around every turn. From the frantic fights, to the fun and involved followers, to the godly puzzles and epic bosses, this game has it all. It even has fishing, and what is an RPG without being able to fish?"
“Horizon Call of the Mountain” had more bells and whistles and has some wow moments for VR newbies. But I had more fun playing “Synapse”.
Red Matter 2 was it for me. The visuals, scope and writing was incredible.
RE4 remake surely?
