Xbox Has Changed Game Pass Quests For 2024, And Fans Aren't Happy

It's definitely been a few months of change for Microsoft Rewards, and that has continued today with the latest refresh for the Xbox Game Pass Quests program, which has made some major alterations to how players can earn points.

The main thing you'll notice is that there are no game-specific Quests for 5 or 250 points anymore - instead, the two other weekly Quests have been bumped from 10 points to 20 points, and the monthly "Quest Completionist" task now offers 1000 points rather than 500 points, but with significantly tougher requirements in order to finish it.

In a nutshell, this means that if you want to acquire as many points as possible from the Xbox Game Pass Quests program in 2024, you're going to need to put more work and a near-daily focus into it than you did in 2023.

Xbox owners are going to pay for Activision one way or another.

Game Pass price increases, no longer giving out games with gold, only a recycled set of games already on game pass, limiting access to Game Pass discounts and well as cutting the amount of time they last, changes to Microsoft Rewards and now Game Pass Rewards.

The cracks are already starting to show, eventually the costs will come in line with expenses.

I actually feel sorry for Xbox gamers, Xbox hasn't a clue how to run a gaming company.
The best years were the original Xbox and the 1st 4 years of 360.
Who was the guy before don mattrick? He knew what he was doing back then and taking Xbox forward.

Xbox has dug itself into a hole using game pass as a shovel, they were talking about billions of subscriptions when they were making these plans but so far it doesn't seem like anything they have done has even brought in numbers that can even match their peak during COVID.

They bought CoD but the truth is that its been fading for a while simply because there are so many options for people now and kids would rather play Fortnite and Roblox than CoD with their dad.

Before Don Mattrick, the Xbox division of Microsoft was overseen by Robert J. Bach

How can Xbox fanboys not be happy??

Yeah, like 6 months ago Game Pass and the Rewards system were absolutely incredible. Game Pass is still good overall, but the Rewards system was just thrown into oncoming traffic. They completely destroyed it. I had a good 6-7 month run where I didn't pay for Game Pass Ultimate at all. After they butchered the amount of points you could receive, I stopped participating completely in that program.

I agree with you about the reward system

ModsDoBetter517d ago

Should they give the subscription service for free? Do you think PS+ & NSO should be free too then?

Funny I don't remember any xbox fanboys complaining when they were giving it away for a dollar in a way that you could keep reclaiming it and giving it away for free through rewards. In fact what i remember is you guys bragging about never having to pay for it.

While at the same time of course criticizing Sony for charging for games and pretty much anything else they did.

Xbox gamers are being mistreated and they don't seem to know it. Gamepass ultimate is very expensive but the basic Xbox game pass for PC is so cheap rewards wise. It's the better option by far. But if you play on an Xbox you're shit outta luck.

@olmyersio

They are giving it away for free...

"I had a good 6-7 month run where I didn't pay for Game Pass Ultimate at all"
You do realize these companies have to eventually turn a profit, right?
What business that lets you get their services for free stays in business?

RE 2 remake and AC Valhalla are recycled games? Check what Sony is giving to their players lol

Einhander1972517d ago

You logged in after 1405d just to say that eh?

Huh...

Asplundh517d ago

His comment is messy, but I think he's talking about GamePass Core getting recycled sets of games, RE2 and Valhalla are coming to GamePass Ultimate.

anast517d ago

This sounds like all Microsoft promotions.

XiNatsuDragnel517d ago

Whelp you're giving playstation more gamers my friend I'm sorry to say.

Crows90517d ago

The Microsoft rewards program has been cracking down on how easy it is to get Gamepass for free.

I'm glad they removed the 15 minutes wait time between every 3 searches with Microsoft edge or bing or whatever. Nearly 200pts every day guaranteed!
