It's that time again! Hop aboard this never-ending train of loathing while we count down everything from 2023 that can get f*cked!

6. Forced Online-Only for Single-Player Games
5. Teasers for Games That Are Still Years Away
These are the ones that piss me off the most. Also having "download required" on a retail physical game. I'm a collector/preservationist and any single-player disc based game that requires a mandatory download can "Get F*cked" as well. It's the reason I never bought Avatar.
Lack of feminine character models
Forced cross play in general
I don’t know all of the details but with the developers behind The Day Before, but wouldn’t what they did be considered fraud? Are there any lawsuits going at them? Because fuck them seriously, I was never interested in the game to begin with but this seems like a cash grab from preorders, and I think the Gollum developers did something similar. What the hell is going on and why can they get away with this new predatory practice? Seriously, does anyone know more?
My list of things I hate about modern gaming is pretty similar.
1) Seasons and stat resets - if I have to grind in a online game don't take my progress away from me because a calendar day has rolled over.
2) Forced online for single player games huge hate of mine.
3) Mtx, lootbox and anything other than a proper story expansion E.g. Phantom liberty. If you want to charge me for things that used to just be a cheat code hard pass from me.
4) Games not being on the disc or cart. I think all games should be multi disc or publisher's should just opt for the larger switch cart from the get go if their games require a download to play.
5) open world bloat from hunting treasure chest icons in Hogwarts to assassins creed why bore people just to expand the games length.
6) games not coming with their day 1 patch installed. Why not scope it into the release plans these are issues that are known already I'd honestly take a q week delay if it meant a polished product on day 1
