IMO they need the equivalent of a platinum trophy if you unlock all achievements for a game

Unless it's changed, it's always been the 1,000 gamerscore you get from standard releases.

I have to say, I really cared about Platinum trophies back on PS3 and part of PS4, but not so much now. I think I stopped at about 30.

I'm sure people don't agree with this, but in hindsight, I really enjoyed the Gamerscore approach. There's something appealing about the unified format. Though you do level up on your trophy profile, which I think is better than the platinum itself. For PlayStation, it's easier to quantity how many games you've 100%'d, but the score is pretty awesome too. I would weigh that equally with the level.

You know what I think would make trophies better? If trophies didn't have a static value. Like if you clear a level and get a bronze, I feel like it should be converted into a gold if you do it on a harder difficulty or with some other added challenges. I feel that is a much better metric for how much of a completionist you are. I hope this is making sense. Like if a challenge is to beat a game in 5 hours gets you a silver and beating it in 3 upgrades the trophy value to gold.

This update sounds like it may be adding more to experience but I do hope they fix what they already have.

The achievements UI - much like the rest of the Xbox dashboard - is very messy and archaic. They definitely need to separate out DLC to make it better organised although retroactively doing that for all games now will be a lot of hard work. And also make it smaller - each achievement shouldn't take up a third of the screen - scrolling down a list of 100 is genuinely annoying for the end-user.

The way that the PS UI displays trophies might not be as flashy but it's 10x more functional. For a software company, you'd think MS would at least have this part nailed down.
