Because everyone with a Playstation and a PC does not need an Xbox anymore since he can play any xbox games on PC and so many more. While the PS5 has more players, more games and even exclusive games.

...+ a much better gamepad.

I don't blame him. I bought a Series X after 9 months or so and went through FM7 and Octopath Traveler. Other than that, every game I've bought has been a disappointment, and I've dodged some of the more notable stinkers. I've stopped buying games from UbiSoft for less.

Not sure if you're new here but they can answer for eachother because they are one with the hive mind. MS is crushing it right now so instead of congratulating MS for doing a good job... They for some reason see it as a personal shot and feel the need to defend a purchase they made. You'll notice it very quickly... Sony good .... xbox baaaad.

That is a hell of a good price and usually I would jump on that if there were some ‘console’ exclusives that I wanted to play. But with Xbox’s focus on Game Pass, and the fact that they release all of their first-party titles day one as well as many, many other third-party titles onto the platform (which includes PC for the higher tiers), I believe that they really took away the incentive for many people to buy a dedicated Xbox console since you can play the games on your pc or mobile device.

It’s a catch-22 that they have such an accessible subscription service which I believe is ultimately hurting their console sales. But Phil already iterated in the past that they are focusing less on console sales now.

It’s a good system that gets a lot of hate and that’s coming from a longtime PlayStation fan. But if you can get a PS5/PC that would be a better value proposition

MS made a good system and than undersold it. Xbox brand is a very distant 3rd and that’s shameful because just 2 generations ago it was the market leader. Phil and his philosophy has been a disaster (IMO) for growing the brand

It is not a good system, it is two main systems with a lot of problems for developers, buyers, marketing, PR, retailers, logistics and others implied in selling it.

I didn't realised they banned people for emulating? I thought they just restricted it to dev mode?

Yeah, I just went and checked and apparently you have to pay $20 to activate Dev Mode and then you can use the Emulators without getting banned...for now.

While $350 is tempting for a great emulation machine I still feel on the fence about it. Maybe if Dishonored 3 is announced or some other game that shows a return to form for Arkane, it'll make me get it.

So, we'll see... Nah, who am I kidding? I'll get it eventually down the line if for nothing else than to play those PS1 games in glorious HD. That HD Dithering...So good.

No they started banning random accounts and you couldn't play the games you bought online, offline... jks guess who that was.

Good prices. I'd imagine many may pick one (or two) up just to have as a secondary or tertiary platform. This gen may end up with more multi-platform owners than last.

I have 3 xbox stations. Gramps house and all. It’s nice having it accessible and not carry stuff around. I buy digitals of course. Kids continue off where they left it at other locations.

They have them every now and then. I would hold off for the mid gen ps5 though. Solid system. Yeah the og is big but I like the design after a while

I'm getting the Series S with 3 months of Game Pass Ultimate for $250 from Best Buy in a couple weeks. Guess I picked the best time to get into current gen gaming.
