Also PS5 accounted for practically half of the consoles sold during the month.

4% may not seem like much... but I was expecting decline as has been the case for the months prior. You figure, this time last year the 5 was in short supply which meant Series had little to no competition. This year though, the 5 is very plentiful and has been doing fantastic month after month and somehow the Series still managed to grow by 4% compared to the same time last year. And this is in the UK.

Im curious how it did in other parts of EU and even NA. Wednesday is supposed to be NPD day, so we will see soon enough.

I think Black Friday is just the best moment for Xbox overall and defies its normal performance, whereas PlayStation has been selling well month to month and they even noted this was the first Black Friday since release that PlayStation could even participate in just by having stock as previous years it was already sold out by Black Friday.

@Punk... that $350 was in US. Walmart and Amazon, and wasnt even a BF deal. Its only been like that since after BF. I don't know what it was in the UK but to still have some sort of growth when the 5 is a freight train of sales... that is still pretty impressive.

@Chris, that is true. It certainly was XB time to lose last year when there was hardly any competition. Like i said, i fully expected to see another decline month but this was a pleasant surprise.

Don't you know you can not say anything remotely good or positive about Microsoft or Xbox with out a barrage of criticism.

video game market grows each year, in covid year, it grew 20%

but normally grows 2.5 percent

this means Microsoft's share - is actually shrinking - maybe they made up for it with subscription prices and no free conversions, but soon, the numbers will show us, wether they release xbox members, or not.
